We had been wanting to visit Angelica for some time and finally, we made it!!Travelled from Hull to Leeds to celebrate my birthday. Our reserved table was tucked away in a corner at the top of some stairs but in fairness, we were moved to a table near the bar with a better view of the restaurant. From the outset, MEGAN was utterly SUPERB. She were served or drinks quite quickly allowing us time to look at the menu. Sadly my first choice was not available; however an alternative was quickly offered and profuse apologies were given to the unavailability of my first choice. After a while, management offered apologies for the length of time we had to wait for our meals to be served - the matter was dealt with (I won't go into details on here) but we were quite satisfied with the outcome. Again, throughout our entire visit, MEGAN was superb - very attentive and easy to chat with. Yes - I would visit again. Prices - well I think they were fitting for such a venue. Upmarket restaurant in thriving Leeds - you'd pay more in London for a similar experience. Would be happy to visit again - if only to be served by MEGAN

Bartender really attentive - went off menu to give the perfect cocktail experience - could tell he wanted to provide a fun and authentic evening. Must recommend this place if you can find it �

Really enjoyed it here yesterday. Atmosphere was fab with the sun out. When you have a very busy cocktail bar,expect to wait. Just enjoy being the person you are with and when your drink comes, just enjoy it without moaning.

Nice rooftop terrace bar, especially sat out in the sunshine. There appears to be a lot of reviews quoting bad service. It was a Wednesday lunchtime when I went and the service fine. Customer service was very good. The drinks are expensive but I guess you pay that for this kind of bar and it’s location.

Lovely place. Bar staff really good. Enjoyed the cocktails also.



Could do with expanding to a few of the old classics to like mohijto but I loved each one I tried.



Place was packed and the staff was very helpful.



Would highly recommend but if your not eating go to the bar yourself to avoid extra charges.

The cocktails were incredibly good, which I've heard is what they're famous for. However, apart from that, not much else was good. Despite the servers being nice and polite, the service itself was sloppy and slow. One girl almost tipped a whole seafood sharing platter over us, spilling lots of sauce on the floor. The food itself was all very uninspiring too. The place was noisy, which is fine for a bar, but it felt very weird sitting down awkwardly at a table in the corner. It is most definitely a place to get drinks, not food.

Only stopped for a couple of hours and was stood outside on the roof top taking in the views. So far I was amazed at what you charge for a glass of wine and only have one size. I have been to some first class establishments and paid less than that for a large glass of wine. I have not tried the cocktails yet, but I like what I saw and thought that the staff were attentive. I would go again

Angelica used to be our favourite place ever for luxury, chilled afternoon shopping drinks. The last time we went it seemed to be different...this child in a suit was stood behind the bar being rude to the staff, the clientele seemed to be wannabe cool kids and the prices were drastically higher. We used to love it because it was classy, sophisticated and chilled but now it seems to have gone a bit trashy � we are gutted

Fantastic place but long wait for drinks and nearly £38 for 3 cocktails and a glass of wine £8 for wine then a 10% service charge I think not we left £40 and they want to think there selves lucky we left that ridiculous I tip well if service is good I don’t think bringing a drink to my table warrants 10% I shall not be frequentling Angelicas again Leeds may be the London of the North but it doesn’t warrant London prices

Went for cocktails with a group of friends yesterday lunchtime, we sat down and after about 30 minutes waiting (there were only about 4 other tables in at the time) went to the bar to order drinks where we were told to sit and they would take our drink orders. All in all it took us nearly 55 mins to get our drinks, then when we received our bill and paid our amounts the waitress got very snappy with us over the service charge. In the end we gave her the extra few pounds which in my opinion she did not deserve, and left. Will not be going back. Not worth the ridiculous prices at all.

Waited an hour for a salad, a vegetable sharing board and a fish platter. Salad was simply 3 asparagus spears and a tiny egg (£7, are you serious?). Veg platter was appalling - insulting slithers of veg and burnt bread- another £10 down the drain! Absolutely do not recommend - if you want to waste your money (and lots of it) then please make yourself welcome. Needless to say I was shocked when a service charge was added to the bill� never ever again - so disappointed on my graduation day - honestly train your chefs and staff please

Very disappointed with the service in there yesterday waited over a hour to get serviced and the when the bar staff looked a me he went over to someone 1st!! So I just walked off to see my mates outside the a young glasses collector come upto me and was very rude when I told her my situation wot a happened at the bar her attitude was like well I don’t care! My 1st time in there never again!! You need to get your staff trained up better! And more people behind the bar! Lots off people around us was saying the same thing! Very rude will not be spend my money in there!

Stuck up staff. Dirty table. We Had to ask the staff to wipe up food they had spilt on the table. We had the seafood platter that was £60, mussels were mushy and tasteless! Used to be one of my favourite places to go when in Leeds, it has gone extremely down hill!

Really nice place but the cocktails we had were icy and not very good VFM as far as I'm concerned. £20 for two drinks with lots of ice and not great flavour. Bartenders wake up and make some good quality drinks please!

Really dissappointed with the service. It took us 20-25minutes to be served a drink once we had been seated. It took a further 15minutes once we received the bill to realise no-one was coming back to the table to take payment. We decided to pay at the bar and instead of being asked if we wanted to pay the 'discretional' tip it was automatically added to the PDQ machine and then when we questioned the waiter he said "I can get the manager to come over and give you your £4.80 back." The money wasn't the problem- it was the fact we weren't offered the choice AND we didnt feel it was deserved. It would be interesting to see if that's how you take payment from all your customers? We won't be coming back. Sad to say as it use to be a fab place to have a few cocktails and a bite to eat.

Firstly I had to e.mail because I received no confirmation, then I received a very nice e.mail back saying she must have my address wrong, spoke several times on the phone regarding the booking, pre-ordered our meals, fantastic, was really looking forward to it. On arrival for 6pm we were shown to a table that was more for having drinks before a meal not for having our meal, surrounded by people at the bar, we asked for another table only to be told they were all Booked, well I'm sorry WE HAD a table Booked, we left. This was ment to be a special meal for our friends special birthday, instead we had to find somewhere else which at that time was very difficult for 9 girls. Will not recommend and we won't be going back. I'll be phoning regarding this on Monday.

From a 5 star review to 1. I used to love Anjelica, it was always my favourite bar in Leeds. The service has got gradually worse. I put the first two bad visits down to chance. But 3 bad experiences in a row means despite being a loyal customer for years I won’t be coming back. The service is now abysmal. I appreciate it takes a little longer to serve cocktails. I expect to be waiting a while to get served in a popular bar on a Saturday night. What I will not put up with is being ignored and your staff serving there mates who’ve just turned up before me, when I’ve been stood politely at the bar for 20 minutes. Further, handling cash then garnish without washing hands or using tongs is inexcusable!
