Went with kids for our tea out. Very lovely place, great seating arrangement. Loved the bootha. Very attentive staff and great food. Good choice. Will definately be going back again.

Went Friday night booked a table for 8 waited a while to be seated as no one seemed to no where we were sitting but once Sat down service was great food was lovely lots of choice drinks were not to over priced and cocktails to die for £7 50 each which compared to other places not to badly priced we were looked after by Abbey was very pleasant and helpful will sure to be returning soon �

We went to the banyan for my grandmas 89th birthday meal for lunch. There were 4 adults and 2 kids which were 2.5 and 1.5 years old. Everyone one really friendly and really good with the kids but Paige especially she was fantastic. Nothing was too much bother and the kids got just as much attention if not more than all the other adult diners. The kids food came out at a perfect temperature so they were able to start eating straight away instead of getting upset as the food was too hot. I've not eaten out before where this has been the case. We wanted to take 1 of the kids meals away and Paige wrapped up in tinfoil in the shape of a handbag so the child was able to carry it, I thought this was a really nice gesture. Really nice atmosphere and a pleasure to be served by Paige, thank you for making it an enjoyable experience � x

This was our third trip to banyan , and every time we have been impressed ! but today was a sunny busy Wednesday evening. We were seated and ordered food and drink , service was great , there was a delay in our food being served which was noticed by tables around us but we weren't too fussed. Our lovely waitress offered to go and check on our food , in the mean time we ordered more drinks. our food came and was as usual lovely ! the time came for our bill and our waitress Lauren informed us a small portion had been knocked off due to the wait ! and she apologised! we didn't feel there was a cause to but she insisted ! she was so lovely and still smiling clearly under pressure - with service so good we were impressed ! We will be back again soon! X

Having being recently sat outside this prolifically alluring bar, on a contemporary tortoise-shell textile moulded chair each, with two very wise men who’ve established themselves over the years under their respectful monikers of ‘Ben & Jim’, I can safely say we all concluded we were blissfully blithe. Passersby smiled as we three evanesced our perfectly poured Peronis. The bar itself is aesthetic perfection, with staff who are consistently ‘comme il faut’. Sat outside you feel a tad hiemal? Not a problem, just press the button on a nearby pillar and overhead halogen heaters convey their warmth without question. I can feel myself filling up thinking of those heaters. Thank you Banyan...thank you 😪

Had the 2 course Sunday Roast. Absolutely beautiful. The roast potatoes were quite possibly the best my partner and I have EVER had. The beef and chicken were perfectly cooked. My little girl really enjoyed hers which was great value also. The only thing left across our 3 plates were my daughter peas and in hindsight I’d have asked for a switch to broccoli. Will defiantly be going back

Had my tea and a cocktail here - amazing food and drinks and fantastic service! It was a busy evening for a Tuesday and we were helped to find a table straight away by friendly and helpful staff. A great addition to Ilkley, just what we needed. Lovely facilities too. Perfect for family dining or a night out on the town!.

Excellent Sunday lunch. Our second time visiting and it was just as good as the last. Yorkshire’s and cauliflower cheese are amazing.

Very good...staff friendly. Menu varied and good choices. Breakfast menu excellent! Good atmosphere. .busy. we have eaten there several times...no complaints at all....

Sunday dinner for hubby, everything was lovely apart from Yorkshire puddings were a bit over done and disintegrated when you tried to cut them, but hard and crispy! Gravy and the bed were melt in the mouth.

I had the burger, lively but could have been fine with being hotter.

Service very good, lovely atmosphere, Bath Tub Gin as good as always.

Went in at lunch - No table free waited about 40 minutes for a table and then someone came in from the street and a different manager to the one that took our name seated them straight away and we had to say we'd been waiting. Then ordered the falafels & Mediterranean veg from the vegan menu and when the dish came there were no falafels, so I asked where they were to be told you don't do them, so why did a waitress let me order them. I said I didn't like the dish as it wasn't what I ordered, but the same manager still charged us - disappointing really.

The staff are nice and friendly but you have to wait ages for everything. My daughter ordered skewers and immediately dropped some of her bread. We asked for more bread but it did never arrived but they had added it to our bill. She also asked for the skewers to come without salad but it arrived with Salad.

I had a revitalise salad bowl which was really good.

Overall the food is good apart from the long wait for it. Drinks are quite expensive.

Love the brunch menu and the food was very tasty .........but they could never get the hot chocolate hot ,sent it back twice and ended up having tea ...... Maybe the whipped cream is chillin the whole drink . Disappointed as one of the main pictures shows yummy hot chocolate

Friendly welcoming staff and good table service. Ordered the sharing platter during quiet time. Could have been warmer tbh. Skewers and pork belly were teppid to say the least... What's going on with your crockery and glassware??? I had to request a glass change for a bottle of your most expensive red and 3 of the serving plates had dried food residue on and were dirty/smeary! Used the one serving the chips on. in the end...You need to make sure these things are right, please. We'll all come down with food poisoning, otherwise! Have been to Banyan on Street Lane, so know what the platters are usually like.�

Cold steak and uncooked chips, very disappointed. I came back tonight as my friend had organised a meal. ( I did not want to let her down)but I had been poorly all the previous night due to my last meal. Banyan please do not make the same mistake as Wildwood !

On the plus side the waiting staff were all lovely and very helpful offering discount.

Would like to give a 0 as never even got to sit down! My father-in-law called in last Mon to book a table for 5 of us for dinner last night (Sat). When we arrived we were shown to the last table for 4 by the window before the stairs which was not set up for dinner and which only seated 4 people. We were told we could “have a chair on the end”, which clearly we couldn’t as not only would it have blocked the walkway (which apart from being uncomfortable for the diner having people squeeze past all night is clearly a hazard in the event of an evacuation) but there is no table space for an extra person! Having been told “we’ve put people there before” we were unceremoniously shown to another table for 4 upstairs next to a door with PRIVATE on and staff constantly going in and out (same situation as downstairs) and told we could have a chair on the end there instead! This table was laid up for dinner and it obviously did not have space for another table setting! So the consequence was we were forced to leave with little apology and left to try and find somewhere else for dinner at 7.30 on a Saturday night! So, why, if there are no tables seating more than 4 would you take a booking for 5? Why, when my father-in-law came into book the table wouldn’t he have been asked if he would be happy to be squeezed on the end?! Totally ridiculous and totally ruined our night thank you!

What an utterly disappointing evening! Having been to Banyan Leeds I was excited to visit Banyan Ilkley with a friend. Alas the whole evening was far from adequate - the service was poor and I had to beckon the waitress to request drinks. Our main meal came - I chose the tagliatelle carbonara with extra chicken and without doubt it was the worst carbonara I have had - it was very greasy, I had to ask for Parmesan and the two meagre strips of rough as old boots chicken was certainly not worth the £2 supplement! We had to wait for ages to get our plates cleared and when asked if the meal was ok I said I was disappointed and it was very greasy. I was simply greeted with a shrug! We were never offered a dessert and eventually a waiter came with drinks that weren’t for ourselves and I explained we hadn’t even been offered desserts or a drink. Mateus the waiter did apologise and gave us a brownie to share between us which was a kind gesture .... however when we asked for the bill my friend paid hers by card and mine was a note as I had no change - they took the note and never returned with my change!!! It turned out to be an expensive meal for one course, half a complimentary brownie and one soft drink! Sorry Banyan Ilkley - you need to improve your service !!!
