I was asked to do this cake by Jo, who is celebrating 3 milestones in her life this weekend. ❤
Jo firstly has been visiting us from the beginning with her amazing friend Michala, over lunch - and of course indulging on our cakes (especially the brownies!)
Not to go into this too much, but Jo has been battling breast cancer throughout each visit - but has remained a true inspiration to myself and others on overcoming and WINNING the battle against this cruel disease.
... I'm truly honoured to be asked to do this cake for her, Jo is such an inspirational women - and I was so happy to hear that Jo has kicked cancer's ass! ❤❤
Here's to you Jo - a big happy 40th birthday, a very happy 10th wedding anniversary, and a very big big happy dance celebration for kicking cancer's ass!!! ❤❤❤

came here for my birthday treat with my mum the afternoon tea was lovely the cafe is fabulous and staff are excellent would definitely recommend to anyone ☺

What a lovely hidden gem � the ladies are so warm and welcoming and the baking is the best I have ever tasted. Well worth the visit from Huddersfield, ladies we didn’t even get to the end of the street without trying the millionaires brownie.... oh and guess what? He shared it � see you again soon �

We just had my daughter 11th Birthday party at Betsy's which was an afternoon tea party. The staff, food and service was fantastic could not ask for anything more.

Visited today to have afternoon tea! I can honestly say as people who LOVE afternoon tea and have tried alot of them! This is the best we’ve ever had!



We entered the cafe and it’s just beautiful, we received a warm welcome. The cafe itself is beautiful! I love how you can see that it’s a working kitchen behind the counter!



We were given a HUGE pot of tea and told it could be refilled when needed! We watched as the sandwiches were freshly made whilst we were sat there! We specified he hated egg mayo so we got extra cheese sandwiches! The scone was the best I’ve ever tasted, melt in your mouth! We couldn’t finish the cake layer because we got so many sandwiches and the scone was so big! We have just have them now carrot cake, corn flake nest, cupcake and rocky road! All which were beautiful! We also took home a few cream egg cupcakes which we will be sampling tomorrow!



Highly recommended Betsys to everyone and we will be returning in the future and calling to sample there cake away sometime soon

Visited for the first time on Thursday. Lovely food at reasonable prices, friendly staff and had clean baby changing facilities.The brownies were to die for � will definitely be back!

Treated my mum, daughter and I to a belated Mother’s Day afternoon tea. The staff were really nice and welcoming. It was the best afternoon tea I have had , there were plenty of tasty sandwiches which included 5 different fillings , a beautiful cherry scone with clotted cream and gorgeous strawberry jam , a cupcake topped with chocolate buttercream, chocolates and sweets and a few bite size pieces of different cakes which were also lovely , also included were our coffee’s. We all really enjoyed it , my 2 year old who ate lots was pleased with herself for ‘trying everything’ � I couldn’t resist taking away a piece of the lemon and blueberry cake too , it was gorgeous . The lady also packed a few bits that we couldn’t manage to take home which included one of the cupcakes for my other daughter which she really enjoyed! Would love to return and highly recommended.

Today we had the cakeaway box 10 things for £10! It was gorgeous the shop was lovely inside when we went to collect them! All the cakes were so fresh, we will definitely be returning!💛xx

My Mum ordered the takeaway afternoon tea for my Grandmas 91st Birthday as she doesn’t often get out of the house these days.



She collected the ‘pack up’ this lunchtime, the service was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. In her words ‘the sandwiches were very fresh and you could tell everything was home made, the scones were the nicest we’ve tasted and there was a wide selection of cakes’. There was plenty left over for Grandma and Grandad to have tomorrow and my Mum said it was so lovely, Kat even provided the tea bags and sugar!



She’ll definitely use again and recommend in future, she said it’s not worth making it herself!!

I’d give it 10* if I could, was there this afternoon for the Mother’s Day afternoon tea it is the best afternoon tea me and my family have ever had, the food is lovely and the decor is amazing and the staff are fantastic can’t do enough for you! And the boxes of chocolates for my mum and grandma at the end were such a generous and thoughtful gift! Will definitely be a regular there, the best place ever, Thankyou so much!��xxxx

I visited Betsy’s yesterday with my 2 grandmas, mum, mother-in-law, granny-in-law and toddler and not one of us was disappointed. We had a selection of afternoon teas and they were all to die for, with plenty left over to be boxed up for home. The food was amazing and the service was excellent, I can’t wait to return!

I took my mum and son for afternoon tea at the weekend (belated Mother’s Day treat) and it was delicious absolutely fantastic value for money, really friendly staff and the food/cake was fresh and tasted amazing, probably one of the nicest afternoon Teas I’ve ever had.

I can hand on heart say I’ve just had the nicest brownie from Betsy’s that I’ve ever had in my life! Called in on the way home from Wakefield and pretty much ate my brownie before I got back to the car ��. The ladies were lovely and friendly! Definitely worth a visit!

I brought my daughter today to cheer her up after a hospital visit and it really worked! The kids and adults afternoon tea were both lovely- really good choice of sandwiches, cakes, scones... the staff were also attentive and lovely.... thank you so much- we will be back �

Had an Amazing Afternoon tea with my son as a treat for his 21st. Beautiful tearoom/cafe. Kat and staff are lovely and the food was delicious. Thank you very much. X

Got a cake away yesterday and a slice of cheesecake. It was superb and exceeded my very high expectations (I have spent a while drooling over the pictures you post)

Will defo be back for more and cannot recommend you highly enough, keep up the great work.

Fabulous food, gorgeous cafe! We had the best panini and cake (plus takeaway brownies!) we’d ever tasted. Can’t wait to go back and try the afternoon tea, they looked amazing. Thank you �
