What a venue!



Me and my husband got married here in the Orchard Marquee at the end of February this year.



We both new this was going to be our venue from the minute we pulled up outside and walked in the doors.



Such a beautiful place with stunning views and marquee itself. With its chandeliers, huge dance floor and floor to ceiling glass walls looking out over the fields.



The food was great both the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet.



Lisa was great from the day we booked the wedding and leading up to the big day. Liaising with all our suppliers and accommodating with all our requests.



Lisa, Alison and the rest of the team made the sure that everything looked perfect and ran like clockwork on the day.



All our guests commented on how impressive the venue was. We’ll be back again soon!

What a fantastic day we had yesterday for my son’s wedding. We can’t thank Alison, Lisa and the team for the most perfect day. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding and everything went perfectly. Even after a slight hiccup with the accommodation Alison could not have been more helpful to make sure their special day went smoothly, we felt like nothing was too much trouble for them. The bar staff on the evening were fabulous and never stopped! I really can't recommend this place enough for a wedding and the accommodation is amazing. Thank you all so much.

We were a party of 17 all our food came out together piping hot tasted divine hubby smashed the tomahawk the staff were lovely couldn’t do enough for us we will be recommending The Black Horse to all our family and friends thanks for making my hubbys birthday extra special and compliment to the chefs.....outstanding!!!!!

We came on 23rd February to celebrate my Fiancé’s Birthday. The food was EXCELLENT! Staff were very professional. Setting is just gorgeous. We moved into the bar for desserts to make the most of the open fire. Was a perfect evening. Can’t wait to go back again.

Visited here this afternoon for afternoon tea and it was fantastic. Such a good selection and all very tasty. We couldn't manage all of it so have brought some home for supper. The fruit kebab on the children's afternoon tea went down a treat. Afterwards my son enjoyed playing outside and we then sheltered from the storm in one of the lovely covered seating areas as were just enjoying the setting and didn't want to leave. Can't believe we've never been here before but we're already planning to come back for our wedding anniversary in September. Thank you.

This has to be the best food in the area, with excellent staff to match. Chefs, you are superb. Forget your local favourites and give this a try. PLEASE !. And a beer garden to boot.

Sunday lunch with my wife, greeted as soon as we entered and shown to our table. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and professional. Would recommend the Black Horse and will definitely visit again.

Staff friendly and pleasant. Food not cheap but plentiful and very good quality. Ale well kept. Place itself is nice and obviously a modern conversion / referb of a historic building and they've made a good job of it. Beer garden lovely with nice views and well kept. Play area for kids at front needs a spruce up but good for them to run about. Recommended. We'll be back.

So after the most amazing wedding yesterday in your fabulous venue all i can say is thankyou so so so much for making the day perfect for me and Christopher it was better then i could ever of imagined. Alison Lisa and the team inculding every member staff couldnt do enough for us. The day went with out a hitch i didn't want it to end. Can highly recommend getting married in the orchard marquee here.

The accommodation is just 5* and has everything you could need the biggest comforiest beds huge loving area and kitchen lovely outside space.

One of our bikes lost a peddle just outside so of course we ventured in.



An allan key, some WD40 and a couple of pints later we were absolutly in love with the pub,the staff, the scenery and the most epic garage in the north east ��



Very pleased to have stumbled on this place and we will definatley be back. 6 stars if I could!!!

Lovely afternoon tea for my 2 granddaughters (aged 5) while my daughter and I had food from the menu. The girls loved it, had a great selection of sandwiches and cakes, the fruit was cut into star, hearts shapes and the girls thought it was delicious. The price also included a drink, so they loved it. My daughter had the ploughman's which was delicious and I wished I'd got that. I had fishcake starter and again it was lovely. We finished off with Latte's and lemon drizzle cake with the biggest strawberry I've seen decorating the plate. All I all a lovely treat for all.

Just had the valentines set meal it was delicious��...first time we have eaten here and it was lovely...fab atmosphere, friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you...fab size portions would defo recommend xx

I went for Sunday lunch with my husband and it was really busy but we still had an excellent lunch and the staff were really helpful every thing ran very smoothly definitely worth a visit, we will be going back

Had my sons wedding in the Orchard Marquee in February and can’t praise the place enough, the whole day was magical. Alison and Lisa and the staff were fantastic in making sure everything ran smoothly. Food was excellent and served very efficiently from friendly waiters and waitresses, well worth the money and def gets 5*+ from me.

Great night out with my wife, Ordered a sirloin steak which if I’m being honest is probably best I’ve ever had, staff couldn’t do enough for us, few pints of morretti then finished off with a raspberry gin and tonic, fantastic food and great atmosphere and on steak night very reasonably priced,

Brought my mam here for her birthday and had afternoon tea. I cannot recommend this enough, it was the single most delicious food we’ve ever had. The cheese scone and creme brulee were my top picks, but everything was so lovely, and all made fresh! For only £15 each there was SO MUCH food, and a full pot of tea each! We were so full we couldn’t even finish it all, but the lovely staff brought us some boxes so we could take the rest home! Honestly 6/5 stars

Very nice location and the food was also very well made and value for money. However the waited was extremely rude when we first came in and asked for a table almost like he could not be bothered to serve us.

Afternoon tea itself was just lovely. The setting was gorgeous too. Service very good. But unfortunately one table let their kids run riot. It was horrendous. Totally ruined it for the other that were there. The staff felt dreadful and apologised for this. They totally understood where I was coming from. So thank you very much to the large family whose children ruined it for everyone else there.

Would return but only if no kids. Which is a shame as I enjoyed having my children with me today.
