Pass this pub every day & thought it would be a good idea to have a meal & catch up with friends here last night.

It's a good job we booked as the pub was busy but service from staff was still great.

Plenty of choice on the menu and food portions were quite big & tasty. We ordered the pheasant, lamb shank & surf & turf. All were spot on.

Plenty of choice for dessert too.

Will definitely return - thanks 👍

Had lamb shank last night was so tasty wife had the Gammon food was lovely had a couple of pints of the black sheep staff friendly.

Food excellent service excellent not much more you can say only can recommend it 😎

Family meal for my fathers birthday. 11 of us in total including 3 children. Food was excellent. Staff couldn’t do enough for us!!!!! Can’t wait to go back. One of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had this year!! Well done x

Excellent food and plenty of it. Staff where polite, friendly and efficient. Wonderful views over the valley and a good comfortable atmosphere inside. Clean and tidy will definitely go there again.

Excellent food and ale. Great service. Well worth the 200 mile trip. Highly Recomended

Called in on Saturday after a very long walk. 12-45pm. Not been for years. Very warm friendly staff,nice beer and food fantastic. Will defo walk that way again.

Busy pub, great bar service and good wholesome food served in generous portions, already looking forward to our next visit. Wednesday night was steak night for two, bottle of wine plus two steaks for £28! The onion rings were marvelous and the gammon and rib eye great. Well done manager/owner and staff.

Always 100% yummy! Love this place soooooooooo much. I tried the halibut last night and it was wonderful. Great service, better than delicious food and very affordable prices!!! Will be back again and again and again. Been here several times and hope to continue x

Absolutely brilliant service and atmosphere everytime we have eaten here. The slow roast lamb shank with minted gravy just fell off the bone. Top marks to the chef.

A great pub in an easy to find location that does some very good food.

The menu although not huge is varied with some interesting twists and contains something for everyone.

They have a good range of cask beers for those that like to indulge.

The pub really comes into its own during the summer months when you can eat outdoors and enjoy the great view over the valley.

They also have facilities onsite for caravans!

We visited with a friend who lives a few miles away. The food is excellent and plenty of it!!! we had the scampi, very good value, very pleasant staff . this is our second visit and both times the venue was very busy, service was still very quick.

Nice menu and everyone else really enjoyed their food. I had steak and ale pie, the top of the pie was just gross is was sooo thick and chewy no idea what was going on but it was horrid. The meat was gorgeous though, also we all got chocolate gateau for desert- heated, I had ice cream and other 2 had cream (the runny cream) don't know name of it, anyway it was sour, really off it smelled gross.

A Great local pub ,with good Value home cooked food and drinks and ample off road parking
