There’s a treat for brass fans at the University Of Huddersfield with the visit of the Hallé Orchestra's principal trombone, Katy Jones.
Katy will be playing a solo concert and presenting a public class with brass students on Thursday 17 January.
Katy has been principal trombone of the Hallé since 2012 and before that co-principal with the London Symphony Orchestra. She has worked with the world’s leading conductors as well as recording film session, including ‘Star Wars: Re...venge of the Sith’ and a number of Harry Potter films. Katy is also an experienced educator, being trombone tutor at the RNCM and Chethams School and brass coach of the National Youth Orchestra.
