Christmas items starting to arrive in the shop, come and have a browse, toys, wrapping paper, cards, calendars, if you can't see what you are looking for just ask. We are always willing to help.

I know some of you will moan but a new selection of charity Christmas cards have just arrived in the shop. Please come and have a look.

Nothing shop related to report, just a small appeal, has anybody got any old pairs of crutches or metal walking sticks that the hospital refuse to take back ?. I am hoping to send these out to Gambia but need them before Friday 14th September, also nearly new children's clothes and football boots. Thanks Janet.

Bank Holiday, Monday August 27th. Post office and Newsagents closed all day. Sunday 26th open 7am - 11.30 am. Just think this is the last holiday before Christmas !!!!!

Audit passed with flying colours. Going on holiday?. Remember we hold Euros and American Dollars, if you need other currency we can order it to come next day delivery if ordered before 12pm.

On Tuesday 24th July The Post office will be closed in the morning, this is due to an audit having to be carried out by the Post office so that I can carry on trading now I am a sole trader, rather than a partnership!!!! Sorry for this. The shop will be open as normal.

People of Mytholmroyd, I know you all like to moan about the road works, but please remember the small shops and businesses still need your trade.

To the parents of the drunken teenagers wrecking havoc in Mytholmroyd on Friday night, I hope you will be proud of your children one day, as I was yesterday , when my boys carried their Dads coffin into church. Say thank you to them for kicking the fence down at the side of the doctors, breaking my storage shed, destroying my footpath sign and smashing beer bottles everywhere.

Friday 25th May, The Newsagents will be open 6am - 11am. The Post Office will be closed ALL day. Thank you everyone for your cards, flowers and words of sympathy. Janet
