Our very own Ember Inns National Quiz - ran over 10 weeks, every Sunday, starting April 15th 2018.
Here are the rules to take part in the Sunday National League Quiz:
*Maximum 6 players per team
... *Teams can enter anytime during the 10 weeks but maybe at a disadvantage if they don't play all 10 weeks
*£1 per person entry fee
*Each week the prize fund in each pub is: 1st Prize = 50% of the entry fees collected that week, 2nd Prize = 8 pints of Coors Light, Carling or EIPA or soft drink alternative, 3rd Prize = Bottle of Campo Viejo Rioja or Jacobs Creek Twin Pickings
* The remaining 50% of entry fees will create the Jackpot prize which will awarded to the best performing team in your business after the 10 weeks
*The national quiz league on the website will be updated every Monday by 3pm and it will feature the top 3 winning team scores under the pub name (it will not mention the team name)
*The winning pub at the end of the 10 pubs will be the one whose teams have generated the highest scores over the course of the 10 weeks
*The winning pub at the end of the 10 weeks will get Mark Labbett from ITV's The Chase and his TV quizzers team visiting the pub on 8th July for a PR event and the winning team in that pub should be invited back to play the TV quizzers. Stage, host and promotion will be provided
Full terms and conditions to be posted on Ember Quiz website page (with league table) from 15th April 2018

The Sunday lunch was a very pleasant experience. Just enough. All cooked perfectly and piping hot upon its arrival. Great smiley good natured waitress service as well all washed down with a couple of Leeds Pale Ales. I’ll be back.

Have had loads of meals here and have never ever had a problem.. However it saddens me to say that last Saturday I had I felt a genuine reason to ask for a chat with the manager. It was a friends birthday, we ordered a starter PRAWN COCKTAIL, 6 shrimps a slice of cucumber a slice of tomato a part leaf of lettuce with a dessertspoon of seafood sauce times four. Bread and butter with frozen butter.. When I spoke to the manager he at least tried to rectify the problem...We got some more shrimp and seafood sauce and some melted butter....I feel sad about this review but felt I had to say something for people to see.

User

Good value. Nice pub lunch, good service and food arrived quick and was fresh and hot. Very nice, thank you

User

The food was good. Mainly clean. Disappointed that we couldn't get out puddings sold out and was only late lunch. I would recommend the ribs decent portion. Staff helpful

User

Not impressed we are staying at the Premier Inn two nights in a row the Menu was severely depleted Hopefully on our next visit things will be better

Have mentioned to senior management several times over several months that the baby changing table is a health and safety concern (you need to support it with your leg to stop the child rolling off). Getting this sorted clearly isn't important. The 'baby' is now a toddler so the concerns are getting worse the heavier she gets.

when we went into the place everything seemed fine, everyone was friendly but then we ordered our food and when it came the nachos were burnt(somehow) and the cheese on them was not melted which was stated on the menu, my steak when it came was very dry and reminded me of an old leather shoe! my one year olds sausage that we ordered was burnt and crumbled when I cut it. the only thing that was good was my partners burger that he ordered!

But the worst thing of all was when we was finished we went to ask about the function room as we were wanting to book it for a christening, but we went to the bar and we were waiting 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us! when someone finally came to serve us we apparently needed to speak to the manager who was serving someone else at the time and that she would let her know and that she would come over, after waiting another 2 minutes while she kept serving other people that came in after us I said to the other lady how I didn't have long left as I needed to catch the bus! She said she wouldn't be long, another 5 minutes went by and still she hadn't come over at this point I had to leave I told the woman how I was going and how it no longer mattered and how I wouldn't be coming here again! I got looked at and ignored! the people on the bar are extremely rude! and her as a manager is just disgusting when she knew we were waiting and kept ignoring us!
