Auction: Monday 23rd July 2018 Lot 425: A RARE COLLECTORS VESPA 1966 SS90 SUPER SPRINT SCOOTER - petrol - red Reg No UCA 474D Mileage Showing 00055.8 1st Reg The Scooter is declared manufactured in 1966 and 1st registered in the UK on 24.08.2016 (see below for further information) ... With regard to the history of the scooter, in 2010 our client discovered the scooter in the garage of a then work colleague in Glenrothes, Scotland. It had belonged to his work colleague’s father and had probably been last used off road in the early 1970s. It had always been used off road and therefore never taxed. As it was in Scotland the DVLA records have been deleted hence it being first registered in 2016. It had a full nut and bolt restoration in 2016 by Chisel Speed of Barwick-in-Elmet Leeds and is sold with a copy of the full listing of work and parts supplied and it is sold with a copy of Scootering Magazine No 362 August 2016 which features a picture of the scooter in an article on Chisel Speed. It is sold with an original rear chrome badge which was sourced from Piaggio Italy and requires fitting. Also, the scooter has been fitted with an electronic ignition but the old original ignition is included in a box spares removed during restoration which is included in the sale. Also included is a dating certificate for the scooter issued by The Vintage Motor Scooter Club 2016.
The sale will take place at our auction rooms in Ossett, West Yorkshire but online bidding is available for the sale via either i-bidder or the-saleroom.com.
In addition to the hammer price, there will be our Buyer’s Premium of 15% plus VAT (18%) and bids placed via the internet will attract an online bidding surcharge of 2% plus VAT (2.40%).

Agree with others - really friendly atmosphere and staff. Always well presented. Fair commission fees (unlike many larger salerooms).

A bit cold at this time of year in the saleroom but managed to grab a few really good bargains. Staff really helpful and some nice things on sale. Have bought online in the past which is really useful if you can't be there on the day.
