Leeds / Halifax Road between Stump Cross and Hipperholme junction has now re-opened.

Due to an earlier incident there is currently a road closure on Leeds / Halifax road between Stump Cross and Hipperholme junction.

This Clean Air Day (20 June) we're launching our Let's Clear the Air campaign to tackle harmful air pollution in Calderdale. Today, on the 75th anniversary of D Day, we're flying the Armed Forces flag from Halifax Town Hall to remember the many members of the Armed Forces who served in this operation and other conflicts in the Second World War – fighting for the freedom we enjoy today.
