WOW of the Week
Year 6 This week 10 of our Y6 children represented Carleton Park at a local maths challenge event at Carleton High. The children were split into completing teams and had to take part in 4 maths rounds- including a speed round and maths relay! The contest was incredibly close, with only 1 point between the winning team and the runners up. All the children that participated really enjoyed the event and we hope there will be more soon!

Year 5 Well done to all in Y5 for producing some great Easter bonnets, and a big thank you to all parents and grandparents who came in to help.

Tomorrow (Wednesday 3rd April) parents/carers are invited into school to make a bonnet with their child. Please come with any materials and bonnets required at 9:15am to help children create a masterpiece.

UFS Summer, Eliza and Scarlett worked well as a team to build an excellent farm and used it as a setting to tell stories. Well done!

Year 6 tag rugby team performed brilliantly in their tournament against 31 other schools from across Wakefield.
They were unlucky to lose their first match against Three Lane Ends 24-20
But went on to win a further 4 matches with impressive tries from the girls and boys narrowly missing out on a semi final spot.

Attended the school concert/summer fair today with my daughter who will be starting school in September 2017 for the very first time,what an amazing day,all the kids were amazing and worked so hard to entertain us all I felt a little emotional it was that good..we loved watching our friends children,the stalls were great fun too,Erin is so excited to be starting in September first impressions are great so far,the teachers/assistants we have met so far have been very friendly and made this emotional journey a little bit easier for us,what a lovely school you have.Thankyou for letting us share your day. This time next year I'll be watching my girl.
