China City

We have been here 4 times now, I find going to a place like this ideal for us as a family, it isn’t about the all you can eat it’s about being able to taste the different dishes, small bits to see what you like! This is the first place I have been where the food is hot, so when you return to your seat it’s still HOT, I hate cold food. The staff? Well we have been for our daughters birthday with her friends, they sat separately from my husband and I (next table) the staff were exceptional friendly to all of us, enquired ever time if we had finished with our plates, if everything was ok, we have since been back 3 times. Excellent food & service. Thank you!! Totally rated as deserved for our family.

We called in here on the off chance. The place we usually go was shut. I can't complain at all food was lovely and tasty. I over did it with starters so can't really comment much on the mains. Well worth the money. Drinks prices we a little excessive but to be expected. Staff were attentive checking everything was ok and taking our plates away quickly. I will definitely go back and recommend.

Fantastic every time we have been I have 2 children age 2 and 4 always been lovely they spilt a drink they said don't worry and just sorted it out

Visited on Saturday lunchtime. The tables were nicely set with tablecloths (a nice touch). There was plenty of choice on the lunchtime menu and the price was good. Only slight negatives, the food needs to be hotter and the restaurant was quite cold. Other than that I would recommend.

I have been twice now with friends and family and find staff to be very friendly and polite. Food is great. There are only two things that I feel need sorting.

1- Labels above the food need updating because you can’t read them.

2- it would be nice to be asked where you would like to sit as I prefer a cozy corner.

The food was mostly at best luke warm.

The soup was the same . The trays of food that was left with remnants of food was left to long to be refilled. I asked for the chicken curry to be refilled and 35 mins later hadn't been replenished. No person ever checks the temperatures of the food and the service was really poor. We sat on table 38 at around 1'0'clock.We left around 2.20 totally disappointed and certainly wont be going back.

Wouldn’t return even if I was paid. Over priced but most of all the rudeness of the staff was horrendous. Really need some customer service skills

Went here for my daughters birthday, food was ok but the staff are the rudest I have ever come across!! Every two minutes clearing plates (which weren't even finished), started to mop the floors at 9 30, giving us dirty looks because we were still there!! Worst of all absolutely spoilt the birthday cake surprise by coming to the table and asking if we wanted the cake bringing out yet!! Just because they wanted to go home!! Tried to complain and none of them understood what we were saying! Never again!!!

Waiting 20mins for duck... then another 10 for fried rice.. waiting for spring rolls.. ice cream machine not working.. 1/2 of the mains you were waiting to be filled up.. won’t be going again!

The food was ok here, but the staff are absolutely awful. A waitress here picked up my bag (that was hanging on the side of my chair next to my partner next to me) and chucked it onto my knee and prodded me in the back and said "move it, it's in my way". 1, it was absolutely not in her way at all and 2, I don't appreciate being prodded by some stranger that I don't know. I went to the manager who said it's because she's a "forward person" ???? Right ok then. They were all laughing about it when we left the restaurant. The manager knocked £2 off my bill for the inconvenience. So generous pal

Reading the comments I don't know were people are going that is "high quality food" "clean" ect... been today for mothers day I expected it to be busy but literally couldn't move food wasn't great, cheese cake still frozen , floor felt grimey like it needed a good clean general hygiene 1* then to top it off tried to charge for my 8month old child that had 3 chips my other son left and a cracker. Will not b returning I will stick to eastern court. I only went to China city today as eastern court was fully booked and no wonder compared to this shit hole

Not very good at all. Very expensive for what it is. Food was very bland and watery. Women's toilets didn't even have handles on the doors, won't be returning bring eastern court back...

If I could give it no stars then I would! Just come back from here with the family. Everyone was sat in there coats as it was freezing. A member of staff behind the bar spat on the floor as we was coming out of the toilets. And the deserts were frozen. After a family member having a word with the manager he said he would discount us 5 pound. 5 pound are you been serious! Staff members should not be spitting behind the bar should be instant dismissal. Never again will we enter China city!

Don't know how you can charge child prices for a 1 year old that ate 2 prawn crackers and 4 chips off my plate I've never once paid extra for a baby here till now!! Times must be hard after the closing of your whore house!! Won't be returning ill take my custom to eastern court.

China city has gone way down in quality in food. Cheap chicken for the balls, salt and peppers prawns are now sweet. All the food they had was dry. Beef you could chew forever.



Read the warning for small bones that could be left behind in the duck after chopping it up. But when you find a 2" bone and got told it counted as a small bone.

Absolutely disgusting, toilets in this place are like out of train spotting, manager thinks it's ok to go in and unblock and let out a stench, shit all over, staff then came out and handled food, cutlery ext, 2 more customers complained about same thing, spit and grime over toilet walls and not been able to sit on toilet it was that dirty, management and staff just laughed, I will be informing health and hygiene....
