Connie'S Cakes

I was asked to make this cake for a lady who was 70 and her family wanted it to be a garden theme. The cake is vanilla sponge filled with jam, coated in vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant. All the flowers birds and butterfly's are hand made from fondant and I hand painted the sides of the cake with diluted food colouring. She absolutely loved it, happy 70th birthday.

This cake ended up in Manchester at a board meeting one of the bosses was celebrating his 60 th birthday. I was told his favorite team was Manchester United and they wanted to make it fun with the words 'where the devil is Ken' on the board. I heard it went down very well at the board meeting and Ken loved it. Happy birthday ken.

This was a Christmas cake I made this year. The cake is mad with mixed fruit and laced with brandy, then covered in marzipan and fondant. The decorations on the cake are made from fondant and all edible.

I made this 3 tier cake for Jodie my niece who was 2 the theme was to be black, white and gold. The middle tier is vanilla sponge filled with jam, coated with vanilla buttercream and covered in fondant. To achieve the gold effect I used shimmer dust. All the flowers are hand made and edible. Another unusual request, I was asked to make this cake for a 50th birthday. His wife was into photography and although she was called Jackie her nickname was Flocat. The cake was chocolate sponge filled and coated in chocolate fudge cream and covered in fondant, it was finished with handmade edible flowers and camera. The ribbon around the cake was chosen to represent camera film.

I was asked to make this cake for my friends niece who is 18. When she was little every time she saw Buzz Lightyear she would say oh Bu Li Year so that's why it was requested to be on the cake.
