We were recommended to come here so visited today, lovely food and staff, will definitely be back! Couldn't finish my giant Yorkshire pudding � but my fiancé wants to do the challenge next time!! Fab place �

Visited on a few occassions and we love it. Food is outstanding, staff are friendly and its great value for money. Always seems busy so best to book in advance. Not somewhere to go if you are wanting your food bringing out the minute you order as its cooked to order but the wait is worth it for the quality of the food. Will be visiting again very soon. ��

The food here is just fab!! I am quite a regular “diner out” and I have to say I haven’t been here in years and called as I was passing to go to Lotherton. The food was exceptional. The staff very courteous and a lovely warm feel about the place. I ordered the lamb which was £13.95 but so worth every penny. There are cheaper meals on offer including sandwiches. Cake and coffee for £5. The best is you can take your dog if you’ve been out walking, as long as you sit in the bar area. They get offered a bowl of water and if you feel like treating your furry friend you can buy them a dish of cooked meat for £3. Very happy � I also noticed they do fish and chip Friday 2 for £12 so well worth a visit. I felt like I had been out to a very expensive restaurant with the quality of the food and can’t wait to go back! Yes I would highly recommend a visit!!

On my holidays from Scotland, visiting my Grandparents . We popped into the Crooked Billet for lunch. We had such a beautiful meal, it tasted absolutely delicious. Will be recommending you to anyone who asks and can’t wait to visit again

Feel a bit naughty because we tried another place for Sunday lunch today, although the food was nice it wasn’t a patch on this place. The food here is so tasty, staff always pleasant and the landlady is lovely. At least we know we’re choosing the best place now xx

Fantastic well cooked food and the staff were brilliant. I have multiple food allergies and as soon as they were made aware of this they check with me about all the food that is ordered and nothing was to much trouble.

Fabulous food and really helpful staff.

A brilliant meal including a specially made dairy free Giant Yorkshire pudding for my daughter who is dairy intolerant. We are so grateful as it’s often tricky to eat out when there are specific dietary needs. All the staff were so helpful. Thank you x

Would definitely go back but wouldn't sit in the bar as very busy with people waiting to be seated and staff serving tables

Great day out with the family today followed by a sunday lunch didn't need to book and got a table for 7 straight away. The food was great only a few issues which were resolved straight away by management. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Thanks for taking car of us.

The food was outstanding we had the prawn cocktail and garlic mushrooms to start. Followed by lamb and beef for main. Then chocolate fudge cake and Eton mess for pudding!! It was absolutely delicious and couldn’t of asked for anything more! The reason for the 4 stars was the service the starter and the main were brought quickly and then we asked for a pudding the pudding menu was never brought and we had to eventually ask! We tried to get a waitress attention for drinks but took ages! Food outstanding service let it down !! 20/5/18 visited again this evening for my birthday meal with my partner and kids! Good again was delicious but unfortunately the service massively let it down again! Waiting ages for drinks and then the food to be brought. We only had main and pudding but was over 2hrs lots of waiting staff but not very attentive disappointed with he service and won’t be going again! Shame really cause food is outstanding

Went for a meal on Saturday 21st July for 6 of us. Table was booked for 6pm. Went in order our food. Pleased with starters . Then we waited for approximately 30mins plus for our main courses to arrive. Dissappointed. No we didnt complain as we were so hungry we ate what we could. Steak chewy. Steak not cooked to order. A lot of food on plates just aired including vegetables. Onion rings full of grease and sickly. Throughout loud childs game playing from a mobile to amuse the child while parents ate. After a while it grated on the nerves. Didnt stop for dessert very dissappointed n will not be returning. Over priced for what was served.

Where to start. After booking a table for 12 on saturday december 2nd at 8pm we arrived to find the table was not ready, we were eventually seated at 8.35pm. Once we were seated our starters were brought to us immediately which was great but then as soon as we had finished them our mains were brought out and served to us before any of the started dishes been removed from the table resulting in myself having to clear the table. Upon recieving the mains we found 1 was incorrect to the order and a couple of the steaks had not been cooked to request, by this point there was no need to mention it as we all were ready to leave. We did however decide to get desserts and were served by a very unenthusiastic young lady who looked like she'd rather be else where. All in all not a great experience and for what we were charged for the chaos a place that I'm sure non of us will visit again .
