What character and history sits in Halifax. This place is something you should research!
What I really love about Dean Clough is how people from all walks of life are given a chance to showcase their businesses Entertainment, Art and Education including supporting local community projects.
Everybody is very warm and friendly and passionate about what they do.
I've loved this mill since I was very little and to see it being revolutionised and brought back to life is wonderful, as unfortunately so many of our mills and historic buildings are lost to decay and neglect and the part they played in the town they once stood is soon forgotten!
So thank you to Sir Ernest Hall and Jeremy Hall and the rest of team for making it the success it is today.
There for a works briefing but loved the look of the place and I will be back for a good wander around the gallery.
The fact that it was a factory and my mother worked there
Stod Fold pop up bar is fabulous! Real local ale, fizz on tap, pies & piano plus a wonderful warm atmosphere. Looking forward to the NYE party!
It's just tops with a superb Art gallery.
Would recommend it for any student or more mature people. The buildings themselves, just ooze history & are now iconic to the rich woollen industry within Halifax and the surrounding area.

Fantastic venue, very helpful and friendly staff.
Fantastic theatre venue here at "The Viaduct" ... Very atmospheric!
Fantastic place to visit for exhibitions, food, cinema and theatre.
Fantastic Place! Fantastic Art! And lots of it! And free! And free parking at weekends....or a short(ish) walk from the train station....
Certainly the best attraction in Halifax from artistic perspective.
A great destination also from a nourishment PoV !

Been several times over the years and it gets better each time I visit.
Great eateries, love the Engine room for a great coffee and lovely food on offer, a selection of restaurants, beauticians. 24/7 gym, Jack Wills, art galleries and much more.. All together in a fabulous setting.. Wonderful that this great piece of Calderdale history is still well and truly alive!
Amazing venue and layout, very versatile, wouldn't hesitate to go again. The restaurants and bars seem extremely popular
Amazing selection of art both in the gallery and around the corridors.
a favourite Sunday morning trip.
