More new products (sort of) - we've put together some fader / crossfader kits for Pioneer DJM's, these are a cost effective way to breath life into gig weary mixers :-)

So here we have our 2nd new product launch of the the week - ANODISED GOLD coloured pitch trims for Technics SL1200
Modifying / customising or just adding a bit bling to your deck is not for everybody however if you want to give it try remember this is just stuck on so if you wish to revert to standard / stock appearance it's as simple as swapping back back to a black or silver trim :-)
Anybody that has used our black or silver versions will already know how good the standard... of manufacture is - the aluminium stock is actually a better grade than Panasonic used and the anodising and printing is second to none, couple that with the use of the same type of pressure sensitive adhesive that Panasonic used (rather than some random double sided tape on the cheaper copies) what we end up with is an premium product but still at a great price.
↓↓↓↓ Listing preview picture may show as our old V1.0 type however the the actual listing pictures have been updated to show the new V2.0 type :-)

Are you all fed up of Mk7 posts yet ? - just one more from me 😁
The feet look like the same external size / form factor as the legacy models so assuming Panasonic / Technics have retained the same M6 mounting bolt then they should just fit straight onto MK2/3/4/5/6 which would be great.
It's going to be quite some time before spare parts are available and the price could be silly but at least there is hope.
... *I appreciate there are other options for feet however if you just want a single genuine one to finish off your deck I will be good to have that option again*

So here we have our first new product launch of the the week - ANODISED silver pitch trims for Technics SL1200 (beware cheaper painted versions - the paint rubs off !)
A few of our trade customers have already been using these and they universally agree they just as good (if not better) than the original Technics part which was good to hear :-)
Anybody that has used our black version will already know how good the standard of manufacture is - the aluminium stock is actually a better grade than Panasonic used and the anodising and printing is second to none, couple that with the use of the same type of pressure sensitive adhesive that Panasonic used (rather than some random double sided tape on the cheaper copies) what we end up with is an premium product but still at a great price.

I suppose it will all come down to price as to how popular this will become

Happy new year 😁
We are back open after a great family holiday - albeit a day later than expected due to KLM cancelling our flight ✈️ back to the UK 😩 however we got home eventually and I've just opened up our eBay and Amazon stores.
We have some new products to launch and a few other bits and pieces to get listed for sale this week so check back regularly to keep upto date with what's going on here at DJSpares
... P.S We didn't see any 1200 / 1210's on our travels so here is a picture of some ice instead 🀣

I think we can all agree that Internal grounding is a contentious issue, there are perfectly sound technical reasons why it could cause issues and thus it shouldn't be done however there are also many (in reality most) set ups where in everyday / practical use it won't cause issue's which explains why lots of people do it and are happy with the results.
With this mind we have produced a replacement phono pcb with an *option* to be ground free or standard thus giving the best of both worlds - if you try ground free and its not for you then simply remove the solder link and everthing is back to standard :-)

International (outside UK) buyers should have a look here if packages are delayed - For instance at the moment Canada is basically closed to inbound mail due to strike action :-( https://personal.help.royalmail.com/…/i nternational-inciden…

It's not often such a clean well kept deck makes it on to the workbench (pictures are before repair), this deck had suffered a small liquid spillage and just required a little TLC to bring it back to full working order.
Having thoroughly inspecting this (and the other one of the pair) it was decided no other work was required (not even any of the usual remedial work) as they were both (internally) in "as new' condition and showing only minor cosmetic flaws - I suspect they have only ever had a few hours use.

I've now finished for the day so I'll just leave you with this music video that will give you a little insight into my musical taste - I saw this band play last week in a small club and they played a great set. https://youtu.be/MJo1r7d5xQk

I've just been looking through some parts boxes and found these Pioneer DJM900 and DJM850 faders / crossfaders that we bought when we were prototyping our replacements - they are all new / never used however a couple of the bags have been opened. We have decided to sell them as full kits containing all 4 up faders + the crossfader - I'll put the links to buy in the photo descriptions :-)

I've seen a bit of chat on various pages and groups about Technics pitch PCB's and their use in re-manufacturing the plug in pitch assy' SFDP122-24A1 so I thought I just let you know these PCB's have been available from DJSpares for a long time.
We have two versions :-
1) A faithful copy of the original Technics part using HQ upgraded board with one small improvement - where the preset resistor VR302 fits we have added an extra hole to allow the fitting of either the original... style or a more modern small form factor preset.
2) A DJSpares original design using HQ double sided board with not only the extra hole for different presets but also a place to add a series resistor for the LED which is sometimes needed if different coloured replacement LED's are too bright. This version is for Mk2 only and also has connections for an external illuminated 0% reset switch should you wish to fit one.

Was there a specific moment in time or event that introduced you to your favorite genre of music ?
I didn't have a "eureka" moment as such, I'd been getting into rock and metal for few years however the first time I saw a live band (AC/DC - 1st October 1982) it pushed home my love of the genre - a love that remains to this day.
Live music is still a big part of my life and it still gets my blood pumping just as much as it did 36 years ago :-)

A few kind words can make your day :-)
This customer bought a Technics 3 gram headshell weight and sent me this message :-
"Thank you, I wanted to tell you that it helped to solve all the problem I had with my ultralight Ortofon OM cartridge which was to light for the arm of my Technics SL19 (1978) Turntable. It that period there existed none of such extreme light cartridges. Bit ot sounds Superb now with my Technics superamp SU8099 and. Mission 772's. Greetz and wishing you all the best. Rick , Holland.
