Continuing the June sharing ... this cake was created back in June 2016 for a very lucky birthday boy who if I remember right also received an actual pair of Yeezys as well as an edible Cake version of them 😊.

To cheer myself up on a very wet and miserable Wednesday I thought I would share some of my favourite cakes made in June from a few years ago.
This cake was created to represent achievements and milestones.

Scrolling through the various FB cake groups yesterday evening I came across a cake that I had also made a version of a couple of years ago. Classic styling with a modern twist and absolutely perfect for a wedding anniversary or a special birthday. I also think it's too pretty to not share again so here you go 😊 x

As a bespoke cake maker I am often asked to make a cake that I haven't ever made before and this one was no exception ... I really enjoyed making it too 😊 ° So my first ever Ukulele cake was created for Sam who was celebrating his 30th birthday over the weekend.

Another super happy customer collected their cake this morning 😊. I love it when I am asked if I have made 'this' type of cake before and I can honestly say 'no' as the majority of my cakes are bespoke 😊. I'll post photos tomorrow as the birthday boy won't get to see his cake until then.
Meanwhile here is a sneak peek of just some of the process of making this particular cake.

Cake number 2. Again a very relaxed and organic design which was inspired by the the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Lemon & Elderflower wedding cake ... albeit not on such a large or grand scale.

... This as the original, was a lemon and elderflower sponge cake layered with elderflower buttercream and a very thin spread of lemon curd, with a subtle elderflower flavoured buttercream coating.
The elderflowers and foliage were handpicked by Mr S. from the garden on Saturday morning washed and added to the cake at the party.
°
The log base that the cake is displayed on is a polystyrene dummy cake which I decorated to look like a log slice ... this actually fooled many of the guests as they thought it was a real log 😊.
