We had dough balls and garlic bread to start and a 50/50 Carne and London pizza which was excellent. The Gelato for dessert was also really good. Great service and great food.

Never been before called in for lunch today had a lovely salad with our huge pizza very tasty really enjoyed it, will definitely calling back again hopefully we will manage a desert �

My Daughter recommended we go, she loves pizza and had heard great things from her friends, we went last night and I have to say it was possibly the nicest pizza I have ever tasted, very authentic with a fresh tasty side salad followed by a lovely pistachio gelato and the service was great too in a nice relaxed environment and loved the idea of a shared pizza! �

If you are ever in Headingly, You’ve just got to try a pizza at Ecco.

I would give more stars if I could! This is the best pizza in Yorkshire!!! We used to go frequently when it first opened but not had chance for quite a while until last night. We were not disappointed! Glad we booked a table as it was so busy yet the service was fabulous as always. The kids are now big enough to have a 1/4m each, this is the only place they eat pretty much everything! Always room for gelato afterwards. I highly recommend the Marrakesh pizza, I've tried a few but always go back to this one! Keep it up Ecco. Hopefully see you again very soon

What a dirty disgusting establishment. A group of us ordered from this establishment tonight and were horrified at the quality and the after service.



1. The pizzas were burnt



2. The bases were soggy



3. The cheese smelt stale



4. The fillers were dry, tasteless and aesthetically displeasing



When the manager was confronted on the above issues, he told us that he would refund us one (we bought four) of the pizzas if we deleted our review. He then put the phone down on us! Way to go to a shining reputation!!!! Bravo!



£45 down the drain, please don’t make the same mistake as us!

Went in tonight for a relaxed meal with my partner. We ordered our meal within 5 minutes of been there and received it literally 5 minutes afterwards which I thought was quick for a 1/2 meter pizza to be cooked. As we started eating the pizza you couldn’t even pick it up without all the topping falling off as it was drenched in tomato sauce and the dough was so soggy we could tell it hadn’t been in the oven long enough. We both managed to eat the first slice but wasn’t enjoyable so we got the waiters attention who was very rude. We explained to her the situation and her reply was ‘ it’s the style of the pizza, that’s how it comes. I will just go tell my manager and see what he says’. The waiter then came back and said ‘ yeah that’s the way the pizza is made here’. I wasn’t satisfied with what she said so we waited another couple of minutes and got the other waiters attention who also came across as arrogant and rude. The same thing happened with her she said she would go let her manager know and see what he says. She came back with the same answer and said it’s the style of the pizza! I’m not been funny but there is no pizza which is that style! I was a little frustrated as to why he hadn’t got the decency to come over to the table and speak for himself instead of sending the waiters with messages. I work in the hospitality industry myself as a manager and I would not dare do that to any customer. I didn’t even get can we make you a new one or anything, just was left to sit there until I asked for the bill. The waiter then replied we can take one half off but not the other. I was very confused at this as it was the same pizza with the same base, so why wouldn’t both halves be taken off. Anyways I payed for one half and left. I didn’t even get a sorry! I will not be returning to this very poor ran establishment. I don’t ever write reviews but was shocked by this service.

Ordered for delivery at at 6.49pm. E-mail confirmed at 6.51pm with a delivery time of 7.33pm.

Needles to say no delivery.

Called at 8.00pm to be told it was on its way in 4 to 5 minutes.

8.30pm cold pizza arrives.

I say arrives in a loose term as we were looking out for the delivery to see the delivery driver knocking on our next door neighbours door.

After asking if the delivery was for us we were told we had given the wrong postcode (we had not).

Needless to say the food ordered was cold, so refused delivery.

Wouldn't mind so much but this was a family treet as we had some good news. It's also not the first time this has happened.

Gave them a second chance as had issue before. But will never use again, thankfully there are other Pizzeria's opening up so won't be going hungry again.

Large, thick, doughy crust that was burnt with a soggy inner that was as thin as a crepe! Also liberally covered in boiled red onion & sweetcorn which we did not order! My daughters pizzza was the same! Hugely disappointing & we will never be back! 🤢

The pizza was undercooked and limp in addition to arriving cold. The mushrooms which have always previously been fresh were tinned (and disgusting. The pepperoni was NOT pepperoni which is a picante salami, but was a cheap sickly sweet alternative.........After heating the pizza in the oven (as it arrived cold), I took one bite and through it in the bin.

The milk shake arrived half full!

No comment on the ice cream as it is in the freezer and will not be touched till I can get the taste of the mouthful of pizza out of my mouth.

Im disgusted with you!

Their pizza was burned, the feta salad was off and smelled and it was like someone had spilled water on them! Asked for a refund since it wasn’t satisfactory to a standard, they were rude and closed the phone....!

£45 down the drain, please don’t make the same mistake as us!

Went in tonight for a relaxed meal with my partner. We ordered our meal within 5 minutes of been there and received it literally 5 minutes afterwards which I thought was quick for a 1/2 meter pizza to be cooked. As we started eating the pizza you couldn’t even pick it up without all the topping falling off as it was drenched in tomato sauce and the dough was so soggy we could tell it hadn’t been in the oven long enough. We both managed to eat the first slice but wasn’t enjoyable so we got the waiters attention who was very rude. We explained to her the situation and her reply was ‘ it’s the style of the pizza, that’s how it comes. I will just go tell my manager and see what he says’. The waiter then came back and said ‘ yeah that’s the way the pizza is made here’. I wasn’t satisfied with what she said so we waited another couple of minutes and got the other waiters attention who also came across as arrogant and rude. The same thing happened with her she said she would go let her manager know and see what he says. She came back with the same answer and said it’s the style of the pizza! I’m not been funny but there is no pizza which is that style! I was a little frustrated as to why he hadn’t got the decency to come over to the table and speak for himself instead of sending the waiters with messages. I work in the hospitality industry myself as a manager and I would not dare do that to any customer. I didn’t even get can we make you a new one or anything, just was left to sit there until I asked for the bill. The waiter then replied we can take one half off but not the other. I was very confused at this as it was the same pizza with the same base, so why wouldn’t both halves be taken off. Anyways I payed for one half and left. I didn’t even get a sorry! I will not be returning to this very poor ran establishment. I don’t ever write reviews but was shocked by this service.

Ordered for delivery at at 6.49pm. E-mail confirmed at 6.51pm with a delivery time of 7.33pm.

Needles to say no delivery.

Called at 8.00pm to be told it was on its way in 4 to 5 minutes.

8.30pm cold pizza arrives.

I say arrives in a loose term as we were looking out for the delivery to see the delivery driver knocking on our next door neighbours door.

After asking if the delivery was for us we were told we had given the wrong postcode (we had not).

Needless to say the food ordered was cold, so refused delivery.

Wouldn't mind so much but this was a family treet as we had some good news. It's also not the first time this has happened.

Gave them a second chance as had issue before. But will never use again, thankfully there are other Pizzeria's opening up so won't be going hungry again.

Once waited over 2 hours for delivery when I was tired and pregnant, needless to say I was furious when it arrived cold - not even an apology!

After being on our s**t list for over a year we’ve give it another shot. We had an eta of 20.35, it’s now gone 21.00 and I’ve just been told it’s leaving within the next 5 minutes...yeah ok....back on the s**t list!

Just moved to the area & this is our closest takeaway pizza! Absolutely awful, soggy, wet pizza! Even my 5yr old would not eat it! Large, thick, doughy crust that was burnt with a soggy inner that was as thin as a crepe! Also liberally covered in boiled red onion & sweetcorn which we did not order! My daughters pizzza was the same! Hugely disappointing & we will never be back! 🤢

I was so looking forward to try this place as a friend of mine wouldn’t shut up about how good it is.

What a disappointment !!!!!

I have put the order through before the opening time, way before the opening time. Pizza was still 15 min late. Arrived stone cold and soggy. Actually not soggy, wet!!! Sorry but your pizza was a disaster. Overpriced and nowhere near the authentic Italian pizza! In the menu it says it has marinated cherry tomatoes on it. Marinated my a**!

Never again!

I have been ordering from the Street Lane Branch on a roughly weekly basis for quite some time, but after the order that was received tonight you will never receive another order from me.

The pizza was undercooked and limp in addition to arriving cold. The mushrooms which have always previously been fresh were tinned (and disgusting. The pepperoni was NOT pepperoni which is a picante salami, but was a cheap sickly sweet alternative.........After heating the pizza in the oven (as it arrived cold), I took one bite and through it in the bin.

The milk shake arrived half full!

No comment on the ice cream as it is in the freezer and will not be touched till I can get the taste of the mouthful of pizza out of my mouth.

Im disgusted with you!

First time visit this week. Not impressed at all. Not enough room between tables. The pizza was at best below average. The base was uncooked as was the toppings. My friend was unimpressed also.

Won’t be going again.

First takeaway from here, was really looking forward to it as menu sounded lovely. Ordered one normal and one gluten free pizza. Food arrived on time, but cold, burnt round the edges and soggy in the middle. Very disappointing. Didn’t finish either of the pizzas. Left feeling hungry.

Disappointed and disgusted from their pizzas and especially from their management! Never EVER ordering from that place again! Their pizza was burned, the feta salad was off and smelled and it was like someone had spilled water on them! Asked for a refund since it wasn’t satisfactory to a standard, they were rude and closed the phone....!

Along with four friends we ate at this establishment yesterday - although very easy to please, we were horrified with the quality.

These were the worst pizzas we have ever been served before in our lives: terrible- (no We didn’t eat more than one bite:



Ecco? Yes the whole pizza was burnt, irmmm that is carcinogenic if I’m not mistaken?



The base was soggy, the cheese smelt stale, and the filling was dry. Apart from the fact that we waited over 50 minutes to be served, the service was atrocious.



STEER CLEAR - not worth the disappointment and we are not the only ones
