User

Wonderful day out, my 2 small grandchildren loved all the interactive play and kept them amused all day, they loved stoking the animals outside and they were both worn out by the end of the day, staff were amazing, would definitely recommend

User

What can you say bad about the place ..... nothing. Nothing at all. Kids loved it from start to finish.

User

We visited yesterday for the first time with children 8, 5 & 3. They all had a fab time. The staff were great and the food in the cafe was lovely too. Overall I think it was good value for money and with the annual pass we’ll definitely return.

User

We visited Eureka yesterday (Sunday 14th May 2018) with our two youngest children, aged 3 years and 20 months) and we had a really wonderful day. It was our first visit for many years and we were pleased to see that some of the older activities were still there and that a lot of the areas had been greatly updated. Our children’s favorite thing to do seemed to be the interactive butterfly activity! The Halifax Bank was also a massive hit as well as the car wash and fuel activity. It was lovely to see them being about to touch and explore so freely.

The staff were all really amazing, very polite, cheerful and helpful. The food in the cafe was very nice. The adult fish finger sandwich was a bit hit with Daddy!

Car parking charge was the only bit of disappointment. It’s a shame it isn’t free. Apart from that it was all fabulous!

User

We have been regular visitors since 2009 and have to say this place gets only better. Currently on the 12th of April we had a fantastic visit with our 1 year old who has severe allergies and the cafe staff especially the manager who was working on that day (bw 13.00-14.00) and not to forget to mention a fantastic chef went beyond any expectations to accomodate our needs. Its hard to find a place where everything is great but I m sure we can call EUREKA a perfect place for our family and will be def returning back really soon again. Thank you so much to each one of you for making our day #fabulous. We just cant thank you enough

User

We have been a few times and came again today. My 5 and 3 year old had an amazing time. All the staff were really friendly and they even got the chance to make a robot. The best bit is we can go back all year for free!

User

We had an absolute blast.... It's lovely how there's barely anything in the museum that they can't touch or play with. My children are 4 and 6 and it was ideal for them. Very interactive and I would highly recommend a visit for children of all ages.

User

We had a 4th birthday party for our son Elwood on Sunday 20th. The party was a success and very well organised. Entertainment/food staff etc was great.

Special mention to Fliss from eureka who ran the party as she was excellent.

We would definitely recommend to others. Thankyou

User

We came here for the first time on Saturday for my son’s birthday after seeing it was forecast rain & I was quite sceptical as my boys are easily bored...I’m so glad we decided to give it a go! We all had an absolutely great time, spent all day there & it’s such good value for money. We’ll definitely be back

User

We are coming to the end of our year pass and i can honestly say ive been very impressed and we will be renewing for another year!

We have 2 boys (6&3) and they love it, so much so they request to come and have a picnic on the train!

We have been lucky to drop on mostly quiet days and had the run of the museum at Christmas which was fantastic. (The grotto was also excellent value for money)

Today was our most recent visit and was the first really busy day we have hit, however the staff we friendly and knowledgeable as always. We did have a little hiccup when we went to watch the secret world of gasses science show as we werent told we needed tickets, this resulted in us waiting at the information desk and then being told it had started so we couldnt go in, cue one upset science mad 6 year old as it was the last show of the day, luckily one member of staff (think she was called charlotte?) Managed to let us in as they had only just got every one seated. Disaater averted. Thank you!

We also love that the Digi play space exhibition has been extended, as this is another big hit with our boys.

Keep up the good work.

Thanks. (Swift family )

User

Very good day out well presented and very good for children under the age of five I talk to girls at seven and had a great day I will certainly be going again right next to the train station so easy to get to

User

The children 4 & 7 loved this place. Note: for shows go to information desk and get your ticket for the time you wish to see! We stood in a queue to be told this.

About 3pm was quieter and could actually hear and view the information/activities on show. They have a sand pit and extras outside; take a picnic the children will love it. 👍

User

Success in keeping my three entertained all day. Ages 3, 5 and 9. Didn’t manage to get round the whole place in one visit, which is fine as the ticket is valid for a year. My 3 year old did run off and was lost for a good 20 minutes found happily playing in the water trays. The staff were excellent when notified them of a missing child immediately locking off entrance and exits and conducting a thorough search. So grateful and reassured throughout.

User

Spent my son Jakes 4th Birthday there today and he loved every minute of it! £40 for 2 adults and one child and then get to go free for a whole year!!! Amazing Value! Thanks

User

Our 7 and 4 year old loved it here. This was our first visit and as we expected during half term it was busy, so we followed some previous advice and arrived at lunchtime, no queues at all and staff very friendly and welcoming, plenty of space for us to enjoy our picnic and then so much fun for the kids (and adults!) the afternoon flew by. Great that there was space to store bags in communal lockers and coat hanging space. All the areas were really interactive and the kids really enjoyed the hands on activities. Highly recommend.

User

Not my 1st visit today but certainly 1 of my fave times. I know that through the year there are different crafts, shows etc but this is the 1st time I have been since 2 of the areas have changed. There was some great stuff and I hear this will happen again every so many months or so. In my opinion I think they left some of the best parts untouched. Plus the garage and kitchen bit are going to be updated. Will be keeping an eye out on what's on and when.

User

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the staff today for hunting down batman. Our nearly 2 year old was desperate to see him. Made his day thank you again .

User

I have been taking my children here for years, and everytime they have enjoyed themselves. Younger ones love dressing up and playing in the shops and banks. Just being able to touch and explore without being told to stop messing, its amazing.

For the older ones there were computers where they could create things through light and sound. Staff on hand to help out, who were very friendly.

Somethings did look a little dated however if you take away telephone boxes, how will they learn about the difference between then, now and changes yet to come.

A great experience for any child.

User

I came as a child however now 34 had the joy of bringing our little girl a few weeks ago, we loved it and have returned today and it was even better, we really explored everywhere. The staff are amazing and spent so much time with us from showing here how to juggle with balls, to helping her use the cash machine (oh my the joy on her face) to reading stories and playing musical instruments. I highly recommend this for all ages, it was just me and my 6 year old today and we both had lots of fun. Many years of fun to go...

User

Had a lovely day today with my family. We picked a perfect day to go as it was not too busy. Kids enjoyed the day a lot. All 3 of my kids loved the bank and the vault was very fun cracking the codes. We didn’t eat in the cafe but food looked yummy and whilst we sat having a coffee we browsed the menu and the food seemed reasonably priced which is a pleasant suprise. Plenty of picnic areas to eat your pack ups and the quiet room is a fab space which my autistic son used when it all got too much for him. We will be back later in the year taking full advantage of the pass for a year.

User

Great for little people. Lots to see do feel and explore. Discover something new every time you visit. Polite friendly staff. Easy parking. Great food in cafe. Good gift shop. Near town centre. Great how you get an annual pass after your first visit. Well worth the money.

User

Great day out. Very busy because it's Easter holudays. Been here 3 times. There was a nice show on about gases which was free. Kids loved it.

When asked questions in cafe they gave me an answer quickly which was great. Didn't have to mess with getting s ticket then walking back to car as was raining. We were in overflow so paid at entry and went inside (helpful). Great day out. Educational too. Can only recommend a play area maybe for slightly older kids.

User

Great day out for all. Went with our rainbow unit and every one of them loved it. Big shout out to josh who read riot act to the girls before we all went in even if we didn’t buy him an ice cream

User

Fun for the whole family. Our kids are a range of ages between 4 and 10 and every one of them enjoyed our day here. The whole family is looking forward to our next trip and the annual passes are great value for money. The staff were friendly and pleasant. Would definitely recommend.

User

First visit today and it certainly won't be our last. It's an absolutely brilliant venue for all ages. A place where children can learn through play. It's wonderful not to have to tell the children not to touch. 5 stars from my little family.

User

First time been here. Bought tickets online the night before nice and simple. Got the passes show the staff at the reception walked in without troubles! All staff friendly and loads to explore inside the museum. Felt shamed didn’t bring our son here when he’s younger! Learned a lot of different things and tried different tests too. Enjoyed so much of a day out to here. Wish they can extend the site in the future so we can explore and learn more!

User

Fab day out, arrived at 10.45am, no queues, no standing outside, pre-booked online, staff very helpful and friendly, excellent place to go with your children, had to pay for car park £6 but considering you pay once for the tickets and get to go all year, it’s worth the money

User

Cannot recommend highly enough! Visited today with our two toddlers and they absolutely loved it! Contrary to views I’d heard, the place was immaculate!!! The staff were all so welcoming, going beyond expectations, making time to male our children feel special wherever possible! Can’t wait to return!

User

Came yesterday for our 2nd visit with our yearly pass both girls loved it and found things we hadn't seen last time cant wait to return was a little disappointed to find the science show in the thearte was for 6years + dissappointed little girl for that but they made the most of the rest of it

User

Brilliant venue, my kids loved it and we'll definitely be going back.

If I have any criticism, in the horrible world we live in today, I found the security i.e. checking bags etc a tad slack.

Keep up the good work, see you soon

User

Brilliant place to visit a couple of exhibits not working but to be fair it was a very busy day during the Easter holidays but did not bother my boys saw lovely little show about gas

Would reccomend any one with kids to visit

User

Brilliant day out for both adults and children there is so much to do and staff were amazing we couldn't find our little girl anywhere she had wondered off and every single staff member stopped what they were doing and immediately helped us find her! They were so helpful and found her within a couple of minutes! Will definitely be returning again my little girl hasn't stopped talking about it since we got home

User

Been a couple of times now and have been really impressed! The staff are so helpful and cheerful _ on arrival I thought I may have an issue with my annual pass as I couldn't get it to load on my phone but when we were greeted by Bethany she took it in hand and sorted it no problems! She also immediately took the opportunity, along with 2 of her colleagues, to communicate via sign language to one of the children I was with who is learning to communicate via BSL which was so fab to see! They didn't shy away from trying to engage her which we thought was great! She also then went on to sort my parking out as I had no change to pay in the car park. Throughout our whole visit all the staff we met were always offering their help and assistance and my 2 were especially taken with the staff helping out in the Minecraft area! We will be back for another visit soon I'm sure!

User

Absolutely fantastic. We have been a few times before but today my daughter was struggling with all the noise and the staff were brilliant letting her borrow some ear defenders and letting us use the quiet room. We will absolutely visit again

User

A great day out for kids, and adults trying to work out ‘what does this do’. My daughter loved it, and for adults, It brings back memories of school. Not sure if I’d want to go more than once a year, but in fairness you get that choice with a ‘year pass’, I feel the price is fair for this reason alone. Recommended to pre-book and arrive early as you do need to queue outside before entrance. Remember this isn’t government funded and it’s a children’s museum before criticising, I think they do a great job and yet some of the lower reviews “not much to do for adults” are popping up 🤪

User

We visited today for my daughter's birthday..we arrived around 11oclock & hardly any queue & reception staff very nice. My 5 year old loved it. Seemed busy at first then seemed to quieten down in the afternoon. My daughter really liked the bank-her favourite part. We went into the little big top & watched the show which was good. We then had lunch. The queue was ridiculous but when served food didn't take long to arrive & was really nice & reasonably priced which is a change for a place like this. We finished upstairs which was great. The robot was great who sang happy birthday to my daughter. Is a shame we live quite far away otherwise would visit more often. We werent aware & didn't expect to pay for parking considering the amount you pay to get in.

User

We came yesterday for the first time with our 5 and 9 year old boys. They both really enjoyed it! There's plenty to do, everytime we thought we had been everywhere and done everything we found something else to do. The only thing that I would say let it down was the parking fees. It cost us £50 + to get into Eureka to start with and then we had to pay extra for the car park! I think parking should be free of charge for places like this. The indoor picnic area could do be being a little bigger especially when the weather isn't so great. Easy to find, and great that we get a years worth of free admission! Will be returning :)

User

Me and my daughter really enjoyed it here today but it was far to busy! Don’t think I would go again in the school holidays.... my 4 year daughter push out of the way more than once by rude children and there parents...

User

It was our first time at Eureka & had expected something a lot bigger & slightly more amazing, however we did have a really good day and my 3&5 year old thoroughly enjoyed being able to play & touch, especially the post office. The Receptionist was really friendly. We gave Reg number of our car to reception after paying for it & when we went back to our car at the end of the day we had a warning ticket it on it, was advised it would be voided as explained to the attendant we had paid on admission & had been advised we didnt need to put a ticket on it, this needs a better system. Will definitley do the 90 min or so drive again.
