Went for lunch on Bank holiday Monday and have to say Matty and Brian were fantastic, both so busy and rushed off their feet but still took pride in their roles and duties making sure everything was to standard and taking note of what the female manager was explaining to them. I must say I was so furious to see how the carvery meat carver spoke to Matty and Brian who both were trying so hard to do everything several people asked them to do within the space of 3 mins, he was very rude, so unprofessional and no patients or support for his colleagues at all l, he was simply a bully and seemed very proud to put down Matty and Brian in front of a very large busy que, he was disgraceful and let down the company and rest of the team. I for one would like to say a massive Thanks to Matty and Brian for working so hard and taking pride in their work, you're both super stars.

Poor quality food .

Missed caravary that was advertised until 9pm on website which was took off at 8pm and spent way too much on other food from menu that wasnt up to much and nobody asked why we sent more than 50% of it back as most of us couldnt eat the food we ordered as it was definatly not fresh.

Bad salad on prawn cocktails and yorkshire pudding wraps were like chewing leather tje yorkshire pudding and the beef

Not great. Went for a meal with husband, friend and young daughter today and it was a bit of a catalogue of errors, the main one being the obscenely long hair interwoven intricately into my husband's burger.

Waited to be seated at the "host stand". A member of staff approached us and told us to go to the other stand further inside the restaurant. Waited there for a good few minutes until it became obvious no-one was going to approach us there, went back to where we'd been originally and found a different member of staff who then seated us. Slightly pointless exercise, but no big deal.

I ordered the "luxury macaroni cheese" from the vegetarian section of the menu, it arrived with bacon on. Rather than kick up a fuss I said it would be fine, I would just take the bacon off. Discovered when checking the receipt back at home that we'd been charged for the more expensive bacon mac & cheese. The member of staff who served us the food hadn't pointed out the price discrepancy or offered to refund the difference (only 50p but it's the principle).

Then the aforementioned hair in the burger. I mean, yowser.. it was a long one! Not sure how it got so wound up in there but, unsurprisingly , the burger did not get eaten. Husband got his money back and a fairly half-hearted "sorry about that" but, needless to say, he's not in a hurry to eat here again any time soon.

On the upside, our daughter enjoyed the play area.

We visited as a party of 8 in April, we ordered food and as it was busy expected some delays as was cooked fresh as we were told, the food arrived after about 40 mins, some ordered Steak, some Pies, and I ordered a Burger, firstly my burger was freezing cold, I know what had happened the burger took less time to cook than the well done Steak and my burger was sat waiting for the steak, I made the staff aware and they apologized and was told another would would be made, the waitress then returned and said it would be 30 mins is that OK ?, considering everyone is eating apart from me no it's not OK, as everyone has finished I would be sat on my own as we had children in the party and I didn't want or expect to eat alone when we had arrived as group, I was told I couldn't have owt else as the chefs are so far behind i had no chance, I was offered a Carvery, the beef was disgusting all fat, there were no peas, there was hardly any veg edible and I ended up with Fatty beef and chips for £9.... I emailed the pub, no reply, I posted a review on Trip advisor and suddenly I got a reply, how unusual. Asking if i wanted to speak to the manager ring the pub, he wasn't interested on the night, or couldn't reply to the email, I gave them the opportunity to reply before i posted a review. Others said their food was Luke warm but didn't want to send it back as they didn't want to wait for food to be re-cooked. Cold, bland food, and terrible customer service. Be a long long time before I return, we spent over £120 and left dissapionted and hungry
