Featherstone crew attending a community event at Nostell Priory this morning. Don’t forget fire crews undertake many other duties other than responding to emergencies. Community engagement and fire safety visits all form part of a Firefighters job role. Yesterday’s field fire at Fitzwilliam ended up effecting approximately 700m x 700m of crops which equates to 49 hectares. Featherstone crew also attended a further 3 deliberate field fires yesterday evening.

Featherstone’s appliance was 1st in attendance at today’s 11 pump field fire at Fitzwilliam. All crews works exceptionally hard and returned safe. Please take care with fires during this warm period.
