What a great pub, our first time a couple of days ago, spoilt for choice on the real ale front, like a child in a sweet shop, staff very friendly, we shall be back

User

Such a fantastic range of real ales including some made on site in the micro brewery. When beers ran out and they were quickly replaced, unlike other establishments. The beer itself was in fantastic condition.

User

Stop off here on every visit to Wakefield, usually after a curry at Red Chilli 2. Great beers, great Yorkshire atmosphere and great staff. I love the two different bars depending on your mood and taste for either good ales or continental beers.

User

My favourite pub! My partner and I go at least once a month for date night. Great ales, good music, friendly bar staff and a pleasant atmosphere. We move away in a month and it's going to break my heart to leave this place behind

Last night was the first time I'd been to Fernandez but it definitely won't be the last. What a brilliant place it is. I've heard it described as 'The best pub in Wakefield' and who am i to disagree. I had the best pint of beer I'd had in years (brewed on the premises!) and there was an awesome band (Welsh T Band) playing too.

What's not to like?

User

Comfortably my favourite pub in Wakefield as they always have a wide selection of top quality ales. Always call in for a couple on the way back from Trinity games. Just wish it was nearer my home and I'd be in much more often!

User

Called in for a few swift ones, awesome selection, chatty bar staff and locals, will definitely be back... Great boozer!!

User

Brilliant Bar with the BEST ALE AROUND.! Great bar staff and nice clientele!

User

Best pub, best staff, and an extensive selection of Ales. Wakefields original ale house. This place was real ale before all the bearded man buns started getting into it. Splendid and quirky. A real hidden gem.

User

Amazing. Great beer selection, and enthusiastic knowledgeable staff. How I've lived here 7 years and not been before is a mystery, but it's likely going to become a regular. Loved it

User

A true throwback to when a pub was a simple place: you meet friends and enjoy their company and a good drink. No loud music, not over-crowded, just right.

If what I've described is what you miss in a pub then this place is perfect

Please try it....

User

It's a place I enjoy, the bar staff and customers are friendly and welcoming, and there is a great choice of drinks to try.

User

Great venue. Called in after Wakefield Trinity v Leeds Rhinos game. Great selection of drinks great company and some lovely banter amongst the rugby fans.

User

Great ales but this recent visit being my second one and almost twelve months apart the service was as pedestrian as the first which is a shame as I drink in a real ale bar in Glasgow called the Bon Accord and it is up to speed with their game with ten real ales on tap , several ciders and six lagers all server perfectly and not as slow ! I was in a group of four on a Saturday and only stayed for two rounds . We would have stayed a bit longer but for the slow service !
