We don’t usually post anything like this as we like to keep the mood high and encouraging and do what we can when it comes to offering solutions to cutting down on single-use plastic...
But....
This video has been doing the rounds and it’s a major reminder of why we’re doing what we are!
... Nat and I still buy plastic and package wrapped items for convenience and out of habit, but luckily we both get to refill our food jars and refill washing up/laundry/shampoo bottles which means not having to buy these things again in new plastic bottles/containers (you can do this too at our stall!). We also try to make small steps daily to reduce our plastic-footprint.
Simple swaps like reusable bottles, bags, buying locally/buying fresh, refusing plastic straws and eating more local loose fruit/veg can all make small differences to parts of the ocean and environment suffering like this ūüíöūüĆć

As you all know we are tying to make our plastic - free venture more accessible, affordable and convenient. Currently we are popping up at The Hub in Cockermouth every other week, with more dates for the URC country market coming in August.
ūüĒÖWe are determined to make shopping plastic-free easier for our customers and one way could be a click and collect option/delivery.

There should be more businesses like this - back to basics with really wholesome produce and packaging to inspire a feeling of having done something ‚Äėright‚Äô by the world. Looking forward to buying my oats!

I always make sure I go to see Holly and Natalie at Mitchell‚Äôs when we‚Äôre on our holidays in The Lake District. What they‚Äôve set up is so inspiring and the produce is wonderful! I can‚Äôt wait to stock up again on our summer holiday! ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ

Excellent business with two lovely people behind the counter. Love the bamboo washing up sponge (durable and effective!) and the roasted almonds (delicious and healthy!) keep up the good work. Looking forward to the pop-up market!!
