I'm not normally one to make a point of writing a review... especially not a good one but tonight's meal is definitely worthy of it!



The menu choice is fantastic so I had difficulty choosing my meal! I was slightly put off by the fact that this restaurant has chosen to stock Argentinian beef rather than supporting local British farmers however, my curiosity got the better of me and I had the mixed grill - an excellent choice as I would honestly rate it as one of the best meals I've ever had! The steak was tender, tasty and cooked perfectly; the gammon was delicious and not too fatty; the chicken was moist and flavoursome; the sausages were herby and not too fatty; the black pudding was a lovely addition too; the peppercorn sauce was creamy and fiery... you get the picture! They even swapped out the mushrooms for their chargrilled garlic which accompanied the steak perfectly.



My server (Megan) deserves a special mention... not only was the service prompt but it was delivered with a smile and a bit of friendly chat. As I ate my meal I saw her deal with a couple of customer queries and minor issues in a polite, professional and efficient manner.



Overall, a great experience and one I would highly recommend!

We had a lovely family meal here on Sunday the 10th June.All friendly staff and service.

Would have gave it a five stars but we had 3 mixed grills and the chicken was over done and a bit dry,also the steaks were OK but not cooked to our requirements one being blue but it was like a medium and the medium was more well done.

Also when our drinks were brought to the table my drink was Plonked down spilling on the table and the server didn't say anything but I soaked the spillage up with a napkin.

Small things but do need mentioning.

Would give another visit though.

The food is absolutely fine, not overly exciting but adequate for a tea time meal. We had the flattened steak which wasn't the best quality but ok. Chips were nice. Wouldn't recommend for a special meal, adequate for other occasions.

We dine here on a regular basis most times we have no complaints.Last night the food was very good sat in the bar area so we ordered our food and drinks ourselves. On other occasions the food was served cold but always replaced .Also most of the staff are good but one or two need a little more training and should show more interest to customers after all dining out should be a pleasant experience.
