We were in Halifax 4 a wedding & our friends took us to the H & H for Sunday lunch. Apparently it's their "go to" place when they have visitors & I can see why! Great old pub with fabulous views out back, attentive staff & lush food. I had the 3 roast platter which was superb...tender turkey, pork & beef with perfect veg, crispy roasties & a massive Yorkshire pud with as much gravy as you needed! Highly recommend

We went for a bday meal and it was great , plus a free bottle of prosecco was a nice addition�The staff are pleasant and helpful and the food was excellent.Will definitely return for another meal �

We had a lovely meal at the Hare & Hounds yesterday - we usually do to be honest - and the puddings are good too - real proper English puddings - service was a little slow but it’s fine as we never feel rushed there at all - always surprised it’s not busier.

This has become one of the favourite eating places locally for hubby and I. We took the grandkids here this lunchtime and they enjoyed their meals too. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and the food has been excellent for us throughout. You are welcomed there at the start and well looked after during your time there. Will definitely return with the grandkids at half term and certainly before the month is out for hubby and myself.

My husband and I visited yesterday for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed it, the food was very fresh and tasty and our waitress was very friendly and helpful.We have visited quite a few times over the last two years and have always had good food. We think its a lovely country pub and very cosy in the winter with the open fire, will be visiting again very soon.

Love this place. Pop in occasionally in the middle of a long walk with the dog. Despite the place being beautifully presented they still welcome muddy dogs and muddy boots. The bar area has informal dining and a great selection of beers. Nice, warm and cozy feel with a great atmosphere and friendly service. Highly recommended.

Just had a lovely Sunday roast here today. Happy teenager given extra gravy at no extra cost, lovely tender roast beef and enjoyed everything. Only minor (and I do mean minor) suggestion would be to make the cauliflower cheese perhaps a little cheesier?

Had a great meal with my fiance and both loved it. Very pleasant staff and not rushed to eat we will come back if we pass by

Had a Festive evening tonight at the H+H. Got to see the lovely Holly, Simon + Liam. Everyone had a good night. Great food and drinks. Excellent service from all the staff.

First time I've been. Went for an Anniversary lunch with the other half. Great service. Great food. Lovely surroundings.

And very clean which I love. Can't describe it as pub food even though I had a burger.

Highly recommend the Wagyu burger and the sweet potato fries x

Been with Bobby, glenn and mum this evening, her treat, and were served by a lovely waitress. Food was great, served in good time, well presented and warm. Great value for money and great setting. Thank you!

Decent food and they actually manage to do a decent blue steak... ribs were really good too and decent view round the back if youre just going for a quick drink

Nice place but needs better beer

Called in during a walk to be told we had to queue at the bar behind people who were ordering food to even find out if there was a table free. Not been for a few years and very unlikely to go again! Ended up with a beautiful meal at the travellers rest where we were waited on. No queuing at the bar to order there! Spot on!

Went for my Birthday Meal yesterday and was so disappointed. Took half an hour to take our order, it wasn’t busy so not sure what the delay was. Ordered starters garlic mushrooms, waited another ten minutes. When we finally got them, they were cold. By this time we had, had enough. Certainly won’t be going back in a hurry.
