Just over one week until our mental health charity golf day. It's a friendly texas scramble format and there will also be some great prizes on offer so please reach out for more information or to put a team in.

What a great day was had by all of the 64 competitors who took part in Hebden Bridge Golf Club's Opening Day Scramble.
After a delayed start due to fog, the tee off times were back to schedule by 9.45, due to good starting management by Clive Richards & Jan Cox. The sun then came out and playing conditions were ideal, with the course in excellent condition - thanks to the efforts of Harry, Degs & Graham.
The Hole in One prizes (kindly sponsored by Holiday Cottages Hebden Brid...ge) were very nearly won, with Joe Gibson / Jonny Cockcroft & Iain Powell narrowly missing the hole. Many thanks to everyone who volunteered as Spotters for the Hole in One's.
The event was won by Michael Turner / Matt Richards / Chris Akers & Andrew Anderson who turned in a magnificent score of 49.7. Second place went to Jonny Cockcroft / Craig Gee / Joe Gibson & Andy Butterworth.
'Earworm' provided lively entertainment for the evening's event, where Keith Law handed over the President's position to Ray Tighe and Graham Boulton handed over the Captain's reins to George Bamford & his vice Captain - Jake Allott.
Throughout the day & evening Lorraine, Linda & Sue kept everyone extremely well fed - as is the norm nowadays.
A fantastic start to the 2019 season - just a taste of things to come!

Another great night up skip yesterday, thank you to everyone who joined us and helped raise over £1000 for GableAid.and a massive thank you as ever to the quiz master extraordinaire Matthew Richards.

It was another beaut this afternoon up skip.
