Kirklees can boast numerous historic homes dating back to the thriving cotton industry. This particular imposing property is set in extensive grounds in Lascelles Hall, Huddersfield. It already had a single story extension to the side and the plan was to raise this to incorporate a first floor extension and ensure it was in keeping with the adjacent Grade II listed properties.

Triton Construction Limited recently appointed Heywood Timber Engineering as the partner to provide the roof trusses and spandrel panels for the Premier Inn extension Glasshoughton, Castleford. Triton have a successful partnership with the Whitbread Framework and are currently on site with numerous projects in Lancashire, Yorkshire and the North East.

Fleet Investment
Heywood Timber Engineering have taken delivery of a further two Class II Rigids as part of the ever expanding logistics fleet. Further investments are also planned for Spring 2019.
The current fleet comprises of Artics, Class 2 Rigids, 7.5t Flatbeds and Sprinters so we can accommodate any size of job or site access restrictions. We are happy to work with our customers to meet cranes and even assist with the unloading if specified by the customer at the time ...of order. Lifting straps or product wrapping can also be incorporated in any product order to assist customers with unloading or erection.
Our help-desk is staffed during delivery hours and we are always on hand to answer questions with live information available from our Fleetsmart vehicle tracking system.
Situated in Halifax at the centre of the M62 corridor, Heywood Timber Engineering have easy access to service customers from the Midlands to the Scottish borders.

Great Strides 2017 for Cystic Fibrosis
A team sponsored by Heywood Timber Engineering successfully completed the 65km Great Strides Challenge in the East Peak District.
The circular walk took in some of the most amazing scenery in the British isles but the rolling hills and 65km walk made it a gruelling 17 hour challenge for everyone involved.

Complex Care Home Roof Structure
Heywood Timber Engineering were selected to provide a large complex roof structure for a 64 bed retirement home for the Wrekin Housing Trust in Bicton, Shrewsbury.
The Wrekin Housing Trust and Choices Housing Association are currently developing schemes of extra care apartments for the over 55s under their ShireLiving brand at sites across the county and its developments at Bicton Shrewsbury will see first residents move in this year.
... The £10.2m project was managed by Cruden Construction , the prime contractor, who had to deliver the project within 85 weeks.
The roof structure was particularly complex and involved 790 trusses which had to be manufactured and delivered by Heywood Timber Engineering over a period of 2 months. The project was a success for all parties involved.

Moorland View, Meltham 28 Timber Framed New Build Properties supplied by Heywood Timber Engineering

Thorncliffe Farm Shop, situated near Emley Moor Mast in Huddersfield is one the local success stories. The business was established by Rosemary Parker who has taken the local produce from her family farm and delivered it through her farm shop and adjacent tasting room.

Full Design, Manufacture and Installation Service
