Training as a #team is a great way to motivate yourself to keep #fit. Our ships company spent their Thursday evening taking part in competitive team circuits, followed by a game of football. A great combination of hard training and #teambuilding.

On Saturday, HMS CERES took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for an incredible cause: The Sick Children's Trust. The guys completed the challenge of 25 miles within the 12 hour target, a fantastic effort all round, well done to all who took part!

Here are some of the highlights of yesterdays Awareness Day at HMS CERES. Our CO, Cdr Stephen Hoyle and XO, Surgeon Cdr Nicola Dean hosted the Lord and Lady Mayoress of Leeds. A group of children from a local community school and also a number of cadets from TS ARK ROYAL were looked after by LH Kendrick; LH Levene and CPO Neil on various stances relating to what Reservists can be called upon to do in their role both ashore and afloat.

Six personnel from HMS CERES are currently supporting the largest NATO submarine rescue exercise in Europe this year. The 2018 NATO Submarine Rescue System (NSRS) MASSIVEX (Mass Evacuation Exercise) is taking place at HMNB Clyde with over 100 Regular and Reserve participants from France, Norway and the UK. Partner nations are exercised in a simulated submarine rescue involving a large number of hyperbaric and non-hyperbaric casualties being transferred through the NSRS Tran...sfer Under Pressure (TUP) system managed by medical personnel from all three nations.
A total of 10 RNR Divers (from HMS CALLIOPE, CERES, DALRIADA and a number of other units) are also involved in the exercise as NSRS Supervisors and Chamber Operators/Attendants, directly supporting Northern Diving Group
