Had lunch yesterday with Dougie and Marion it was great the food and prices were fantastic will definitely be paying another visit soon staff were fab also.

Been coming here for over a year, always have a good time. Cheap food and drinks, but the food is always delicious. Can’t fault it ًںکٹ

Went last night with my husband and two children aged 7 and 5 for my husband's birthday tea. Food was really nice and piping hot. My streak pie was so nice. We all enjoyed it and even more so since kids ate for آ£1 each! Was a favourite of ours last summer but so disappointing they've got rid of the play area. We finished our drinks outside and it felt like kids weren't welcome in the beer garden at all. Would definitely be a factor to put us off going regularly which is a shame as looks great inside and we all enjoyed the food. Would have given it 5 stars if play area was still there

Went for lunch today first time since its reopened. My meal wasn't great there seems to be a bad batch of steaks full of chewy veins but I have given 4 stars for the way the staff dealt with it. They were excellent ï؟½

Very nice inside since the refurb. No crisps down the side of the chairs and kids hurtling in and out of the doors and messing around in the toilets. We had burger and chips and both were really hot and tasty and reasonably priced. We’ve avoided this pub for years, but now we can go without feeling like we are in a Wacky Warehouse, we will come back.

One star lost for the Barman who was surly and didn’t know who was next to be served ( it’s your job mate! )

Very friendly pub, was great to go with kids with the play area outside & plenty of seating, we wanted to eat inside but as we was outside the staff reserved us a table inside with a tv so the little one was was very pleased, very cheap food & drinks & was very tasty for the price, the only downside was it was very busy with it been warm & staff was doing there best to keep up with clearing away but it was quiet messy outside, but would not let that put me off going again as you can not predict the weather

Food was lovely but was overcharged. Staff couldn't give satisfactory explanation and refused to refund difference. Will be taking this up when I return from holiday

Went last night for tea...phhhfft...BAR SERVICE rubbish!!!! JO who took our order told us no ice..no megasaurus!!! Phhhft so orderd something else only to be told when eaten it that there in fact WAS megasaurus and WAS ice!!!! We was also given dirty glasses...had to tell her to change them! We have been a few times,but must say last night was the worse! Got ripped off too cos she didant key in til vouchers...would not go anymore unless got complimemtery vouchers to make up for last nights cock up!!! Rubbish....

Needs to improve vastly its menu for anyone who needs a gluten free meal, ie a pasta dish, a pie dish and defo GF bread that's edible. It also really needs to increase its vegetarians options!!!!. As the day we went one of the main vegetarian dishes was out of stock - which is not good enough. On the plus side the service was good (once we had found something on the menu everyone could eat), the food was hot n the barman was friendly.

Ordered our food told us it would be an hour's wait. It took a hour and 40 mins. Food came wasnt that great. Brought my 2 children. They have took the children play area out which is dissapointing. Nothing to keep my children occupied, no machines, no play area, no colouring sets. Wouldn't say its suitable for children. Really dissapointed.

Worst meal in a long time. Three seperate orders all with missing items or just simply disgusting. Tables were dirty and staff are shocking. If you are thinking of eating here - please change your mind!

Went for my granddaughters we booked tables for 25 food came out in different times for everyone some had finished there’s before others got there’s the kids were last to be fed and was very hungry by time it came food had to be sent back has there got it wrong asked for a starter didn’t come out before the meal don’t think we will be going back there has a party any time soon

Well I can say Ive been all over this country ov ours n dined out all over n can safely say that was the worst Sunday dinner I’ve ever bought, processed beef . Worst mashed potato ever n carrots microwaved till they were almost unrecognisable. Thoroughly shocked n disappointed,, will certainly not be reccominding this place to anybody but will post this to possibly avoid anybody else the same disappointment. .. ï؟½ï؟½

Waited a while for food witch is fine, when I came out the food was cold. Also got 2 large cokes with my food then went for a second after my meal to be given a larger class for the same price. Went to argue my point about being given small coke at first. They were trying to make a point regarding the amount of ice in the classes both times, they were both filled.



Never got resolved 2 members of staff arguing back at me. Very rude! Will never be eating here again.

Waited 1 hour for crap food, mucky chips oil needs changing, over done gammon with burnt flakes the grill needs cleaning, asked for a rare steak got it cremated, the egg yolk was broken, I should of asked for a refund but it was a long day and I would of eaten my boots they're would of been more tender then that steak, bar staff needed a bit of motivation 1of them was nodding off pulling my pint and Ohh! the beer was OK.

Took 10 minutes to be served (there was only 1 man already ordering ahead of me). Ordered and paid for food to then be told it was a half hour wait. The food took an hour after us asking at 45 minutes where it was.

The burgers arrived burnt with half the ingredients missing and plastic wrap cheese shoved on them. The chips were cold and not what I'd call a portion.

To top it off, the staff were miserable and there were hundreds of dirty glasses on the bar and tables.

Thoroughly dissapointed.

Shocking service, average food, refurbishment not made any difference. Rude waitress, served a hot pudding(when it EVENTUALLY came) cold - twice! And waitress argued back. Have emailed manager with complaint 2 days ago - still awaiting a response.

It has 1 star but only because I couldn't put 0. We were told there was a 30-45min wait for food. We waited 1 hour 30 mins for food and were about to ask for a refund and leave just as it appeared. Only it didn't all appear at once, there was an extra 10 min wait for all of it to arrive. Absolutely ridiculous seen as we were waiting for 3 simple mains. Of the mains, only 1 was decent. The chips were disgusting, mushy peas were like someone's used and dried up face mask, mini grill was very sad. All of it was not very hot. I have to say that my meal was not even worth half of the آ£7 I paid for it. Most staff were frazzled, unable to cope with orders and had no clue how to deal with the customers in a professional manner. We were not the only people treated to this delightful service, 3 other tables near us also complained and waited over 1 hour for meals that were cold, burnt or wrong. Will not be going back. Ever.
