People have often joked that Isaac could be a ‘one-man band’, something he took literally when producing his debut E. P Speed of film. He not only played every note of every instrument, but also mixed the recording as well. His friends did note that this could be a recipe for disaster. However, after a few mishaps (and many ‘head-in-hands’ moments) Isaac emerged from the studio with his debut E. P.

What makes this five-track so impressive is not simply how it was made, but also its content. The music itself follows closely in the singer-songwriter tradition. However, look closely and you can catch a glimpse of the alternative elements within this record: the complex rhythms, progressive song structures and the unconventional that underpin it.

This ethos combined with Isaac’s talent makes Speed of Film an impressive and highly original debut. Speed of Film both separates him from the crowd, and marks the beginning of his solo career.

So far this career has led him to support guitar legends such as Andy Mckee, Jon Gomm and Nick Harper, and complete a 30-date tour of Northern England. Isaac is now getting geared up for his first full UK tour in support of the new record starting in March.
