Went there for my birthday tea having been to Sir Jukes in Wetherby for my lunch and I can't think of a better way to celebrate until I had my left over curry the following day for tea and OMG tasted even nicer. Definitely recommend it for tea....and seconds �

The staff were superb, and the food was fantastic. I was speaking to the owner at the end off the evening and he said his aim is to make every customer feel like a celebrity. Well, he achieved it. I suffer from caeliac disease and each and every dish stated if suitable. Best Indian restaurant I have ever eaten at and I will definitely be visiting Lala's again upon my return. Brilliant.

Me and my husband went to the Wakefield restaurant because we couldn't get a parking space at Batley. We really enjoyed our meal and the service was fabulous. They were really busy but we still only waited about 10 minutes to get a table and we had ordered and received our food within 20 minutes. We couldn't eat all our food and they were more than happy to bag it up for us so we could take it home. We will definitely go again. It's worth paying for parking to eat here.

Many thanks to Manager waj and to Hussy and the rest of the staff for a lovely evening out. The service and food was first class this restaurant and its staff are the best there is. Any changes you want to any dish just ask the staff will go above and beyond to make sure you're happy with your food and provide service to match.For a great meal out give lalas a try you will love it we tried it 6 years ago and loved it and we still do today.

Lala's was recommended to us by a local taxi driver from Wakefield cars so thought we would give it a try. Place has beautiful decor but on top of that the food was amazing. Our waiter was called ibi or something close to that. The service from him was fab and he made us feel very welcome there. Will deffo go back when we visit Wakefield in the future. �

Just had a meal with my family, for my sons birthday, food excellent and service brilliant... Staff brought balloons to the table, ice cream with firework... Really lovely..... Thank you....

Always ate at La La's in Batley when I lived around that area. We knew the owner Ozzy who was a top guy. We ate here Sat 26th and it was absolutely gorgeous and our waiter couldn't do enough and had a top sense of humour (sorry didn't catch his name) A glass was accidentally smashed on nxt table showering our table with splinters of glass, everything was quickly replaced. Our main was the best curry and totally fab value for money. Will definitely be returning

We have been eating at Lala's for a number of years l have to say that the service has gone down hill we visited last night and it was very poor, the food overall was good apart from the salad which had seen better days left disappointed .

Initially I was very impressed with the interior for Wakefield and couldnt fault any of the food. However I felt let down as we were given a table quite late last night and staff began to clean round us, turn lights on and gather round the bar as if to show they were waiting to go home. The service felt rushed and in turn we felt rushed. I would of rather been turned away at the door.

Food was amazing the service was appalling . Couldn't wait to get rid of us , practically took my plate away whilst I was eating !!!

Asked for a coke and got it in a bottle With a straw then I dared to ask for a glass - 3 attempts later got one from the next table . Told us they shut at 12-30 (we left at 12-15) but then let someone else in after us.

Was such a shame as food was excellent .

Didn't have this service at the old restaurant .

On another note I appreciate it was the end of the night but the toilets were very dirty and obviously hadn't been I inspected all night .

4 of us arrived at lalas for a meal had to wait 20 minutes for a table sat down ordered our food and a jug of water took an hour for it to come starters came and there was a hair in the food then the other two starters came and bit in to the starter (masala fish) and they was two pieces of glass in the fish we then complained and said we could have drinks on the house then brought a fresh starter out then took an hour for the mains to come out got there at 8.20 and didn't leave till 10.50 also asked staff for the bill 6 times and staff were not proffesioal and was swearing and another staff came and apologised but overall lovely food � new years eve 31/12/16

Went last night early doors arriving around 7 just two of us. I appreciate it's Christmas season and there were a lot of big parties due in but we were seated right at the top of the stairs just plonked randomly at the edge. The serving staff don't seem to have set zones and my partner was asked 3 times within 5 mins if he wanted another drink when he'd just ordered one. The drink never arrived and we had to chase up and then we were over charged on the bill at the end. We felt hounded by far too many staff who all appeared to be running around in chaos. Food was average, and not red hot plus the salad on the starters was brown and limp. There was one waiter who appeared to be covering our table and he was good but when we paid a different guy came and took our money and was obviously trying to claim the other guys tip. We had to collar him and specifically tell him the tip was for our guy. If we'd had just the one waiter taking care of us it would have been a completely different experience. Won't be rushing back, especially not before Christmas. Just too unorganised.

We booked a table for 4 people arrived to wait 40 minutes for our table starter took ages to arrive main the same over an hour after the starter we were all sqashed in and weighters were nearly dropping food on 2 of us every time they walked past our table to serve food as it was a tight squeeze food was spot on but bad service when we tried to complain the weighter ran off and didn't say anything will not be returning.

Visited here last night as a celebration for our 1st wedding anniversary. We love Lala's, this was first time going to the newly relocated place. We have never experienced a bad service at Lala's but however last night was very different. It took nearly an hour for our main courses to come we had to ask where they were, trying to catch someone's attention was atrocious. Normally staff are very attentive coming to your table to see if everything is alright and checking if any more drinks are required. We had to wave to get staffs attention and we asked for a sweet menu several times, when we asked for the bill that was the only time we were asked if everything was ok night - not really! As gesture of an apology and to celebrate our special occasion my husband and I were offered a free drink which we never got! Very disappointed!

On arrival we were greeted & seated promptly and politely.

We ordered our drinks & food I did have to ask the waiter to speak up a little as he was so softly spoken I couldn't hear what he was saying.

Our starters were absolutely lovely & my fish masala starter was to die for the best I've tasted.

The problem began when the mains arrived & one of them was the wrong order.

No problem to us at all we were all sharing so politely mentioned that my husband had ordered something different the chef who brought out the food said no problem & took it away to bring the dish we had ordered.

We thought nothing of it & carried in chatting to each other whilst sharing the other dishes.

A moment later our waiter appeared beside our table with all the attitude of a stroppy 14yrs old telling us in what can only be described as a very aggressive manner that we had ordered that meal! His manner was so unpleasant & confrontational that we were literally all agast?

We explained politely that he hadn't but it wasn't a problem to which he tutted rolled his eyes and repeated that yes we had!

There were four of us at that table we all knew what my husband had ordered.

My usually very mild mannered husband called him back as he stopped away from the table like a hormonal teenager I swear I thought he was going to find a door to slam & shout "I hate you"

So very surreal and odd behaviour.

He later brought the originally ordered dish & slammed it down in front of my husband which was when I'd had enough & told him how disgusting his attitude was.

He made no apology even my daughter & her boyfriend couldn't understand this lads problem & told him so

This had dampened our evening as you can imagine.

The food was still lovely but by this time we just wanted to eat & leave.

£80 to be spoken to like we had done something wrong by a young lad who wrote down the wrong order!

The strangest evening & would certainly never go back.

When paying the bill none of us said anything until the manager asked if everything had been ok when I said sadly no & explained he was pretty unhelpful & said I'll make it up to you next time you come.

There won't be a next time!

We followed 10 mins later, at no point did anyone come and acknowledge us or apologise for our wait, I appreciate it is a busy time of year but should have been informed when we booked the table we may have to wait. We went to Red Chilli and their customer service was second to none.

Absolutely disgusted with the behaviour of one of your colleagues this evening. We came to your restaurant having booked a table for 7pm over a week ago. We came at 6:50 to find our name wasn't even on the list despite me ringing this morning to confirm and then saying it's all booked. We waited until 7:20 having still not being sat down which was frustrating enough but then a table of 3 who had walked in off the street got seated before us. This is the 3rd or 4th time that this has happened to us where we've booked a table and have been waiting for said table. When my dad mentioned something to the manager he was very rude. Asking 'what our problem was' and him saying he was 'just about to seat us' when we questioned why he had seated the other people he said we were 'disrespecting him' and 'telling him how to do his job'. I'm sorry but when you book a table over a week in advance you expect it to be ready for you on arrival. The way he spoke to us was down right rude and the words 'sorry' didn't even pass his lips. I asked to speak to another manager and he looked at me as if I was wrong to even open my mouth. Safe to say we will not be going again. He has ruined my mums Mother's Day. Luckily we managed to get in another restaurant else where. We've been customers to lalas for years and visit at least once a month. Disgusting behaviour and not how you expect to be treated as loyal customers.
