EATING OUT⠀ •⠀ One of the main things that my clients worry about missing out on when they’re on a diet is meals out.⠀ •⠀ It’s no longer a secret that eating out of Tupperware isn’t necessary to reach your fat loss goals, but how can we practically manage meals out when it comes down to it?⠀... •⠀ Here’s my top tips:⠀ •⠀ 1️⃣ Track your calories to the best of your ability. Whether that’s by using an app or a pen and paper.⠀ •⠀ 2️⃣ Chain restaurants can be easiest because you can check the menus out online and the vast majority of places will have the nutritional info on their website. Prioritise choosing something low calorie (but obviously something tasty) and as a secondary, you may want to consider something with a higher protein content.⠀ •⠀ 3️⃣ When eating somewhere independent or where nutritional info isn’t available, “eating clean” can be a more sensible option simply because it’s easier to guesstimate the calories in chicken and new potatoes than it is to guesstimate a risotto (did they use wine? Cream? How much oil? Was the veg fried or roasted?)⠀ •⠀ 4️⃣ You may choose to avoid things like butter on veg or dressings on salads to help lower the calorie content. Also simple swaps like changing chips to boiled new potatoes can help too.⠀ •⠀ 5️⃣ Avoid creamy or oily sauces. Tomato or chilli based things tend to be lower calorie.⠀ •⠀ 6️⃣Think about drinks. Diet Coke over regular coke but also if you’re going to drink wine then take the time to work out which will serve you best. If drinking spirits, consider which will be lowest cal and have a diet mixer.⠀ •⠀ 7️⃣ Consider portion sizes. You may want a starter sized portion of a main so that you can leave space for dessert. I'm 4 weeks into my 6 week bootcamp with Cheryl. I'm really enjoying it, Cheryl provides lots of useful, practical guidance and information. This bootcamp has helped me build my confidence in using weights and working out at the gym. I started training with Cheryl 7 months ago. Initially I wanted to get back into the gym (somewhere I hadn't been for at least 10 years) and I'd also seen the amazing work Cheryl had done with some friends of mine who are also clients. The dedication Cheryl puts into her work shows in each and everyone of her clients. Each PT session is something different there is never any time to get bored and the training programmes are tailored to your needs perfectly. I completed one of Cheryl’s 6 week transformation camps earlier in the year because I’d been feeling lost in the gym with little direction, confidence or real motivation. Each week she taught us great technique, pushed us to achieve more than we thought we could and gave us the foundations to take away and apply to our training. Even down to the simplest things such as warming up better - no more treadmill for me! I’ve been applying the knowledge Cheryl imparted and I feel so much happier in the gym. My confidence has improved hugely and I’m seeing the difference in my body.

I became one of Cheryl's clients earlier this year and I haven't looked back since. I joined Cheryl having already lost 36kg on Slimming World, awesome I know, but mentally it had drained me, I was miserable. Every single day was a fresh new battle with myself. The plan had a negative impact on my relationship with food, I'd become isolated at social events because I knew I wouldn't be able to enjoy what was on offer as it wouldnt fit my plan - and I sure wasn't about to cheat and ruin the progress I'd already made so I'd avoid it. I reached the stage where I'd stopped losing weight! I was continuing on the plan but the weightloss had stopped, this was soul destroying after all my hard work but I knew I couldn't and wouldn't quit, it's not who I am. It is here that this inspirational and motivational woman comes into the mix. Cheryl has literally changed my life, sounds like a clichè client review I know, but she has! Cheryl is an amazing coach, she always pushes me to my limit and helps me achieve and surpass my goals in every session. In the 6 months training with her so far I've learnt more about technique and nutrition than I have from anyone else ever. Cheryl understands when you are having a bad day or are frustrated you can't do something and breaks things down into smaller stages so you can achieve your goals- she really does believe in all her clients and is so supportive

Cheryl is a fantastic PT, she pushes me to limits I never even knew I could reach! I am onto my 6th week of PT sessions and cheryl has totally helped me re think what I am eating and how much I need of it. Cheryl is a fab trainer! She listens to your goals and shapes your training towards meeting these goals. Frequent feedback from your check-ins makes sure you stay on the straight and narrow! Training sessions are hard but fun and Cheryl encourages you every step of the way, ultimately pushing you to achieve things you didn't think you could.

Cheryl is a brilliant PT. She plans sessions tailored to the goals you want to achieve and it's not the same boring thing every session. She pushes me to do things I didn't even know I was capable of and has taught me about technique so I actually have the confidence to go into the free weights area by myself which I never thought I'd do. Couldn't recommend Cheryl enough as a personal trainer, worth every penny!
