About Learning & Participation At Northern School Of Contemporary Dance
Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) offers a range of dance activities including weekend and evening courses for children, young people and adults
Learning & Participation At Northern School Of Contemporary Dance Description
Learning & Participation at NSCD provides community access and participation, we nurture an inclusive and mutually-respectful learning environment and provide a place for participants, of all ages and abilities to enjoy, engage in and learn through contemporary dance.
We encourage curiosity, creativity and creative risk-taking, individuality and collaboration, self-discipline, dedication and ambition throughout all our classes from our Saturday School to our adult classes.
Our team can provide a number of opportunities from classes and courses including our Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) programme at our world-class base in Chapeltown, Leeds, to bespoke programmes for schools, community groups and artists Professional Development.
We also contribute to the strategic development of dance in the North and invest in widening participation, outreach and other activities that enable as many people as possible to engage in dance as audience members and participants.

So many talented dancers and won6derful choreographers.
Sonny had just an amazing week and has learned so much.
Wish I could be there every day :) the people, the talent, the shows, it's all fab!
My daughter attends the school and the dancers all seem happy and contented with their performances
Best dance school with amazing teachers.
Beautiful building and very welcoming staff are lovely we always look forward to going x

A great open day felt like an amazing place to study. Staff all very friendly and informative. Former and current students very enthusiastic. A great building too. A real sense of caring for their students. We thoroughly enjoyed the open day and daughter enjoyed dance work shop, she’s looking forward to her audition day!
