This scenic Calderdale area was home to poet laureate Ted Hughes; also his first wife the American poet Sylvia Plath is buried twenty minutes walk up the hill behind the house. The esteemed local music venue, the Trades Club, hosts international artists ranging from Patti Smith and Laura Marling to Fairport Convention. Sleeps 6 (1 double, 2 twins). Cosy Lee Royd has stunning south-facing views with a veranda, wooden floors and a wood-burning stove.
