People often ask what we put in a referral. Here are some referrals ready to go out. Sadly these referrals are not complete and the families receiving them will have to wait for stair gates,prams and cots as we do not have any of these items left. Another brilliant team in today from Green flag (breakdown) Customer Solutions. Michelle Handley- night team. These ladies have scrubbed paint off the floor, put referral together and sorted shoes and clothes. We really have enjoyed having them in today.
They also came with donations of nappies, wipes etc which we always need. Thank you ladies

Say hi to Helen! Tell us about yourself and your family/job. ‘I have a lovely , energetic and very determined 2 year old girl. I split my time between playing with her, working part time for the University of Leeds and volunteering with Leeds Baby Bank one afternoon a week.’ What do you do at baby bank and what do you enjoy about it? ‘I spend my time at Leeds Baby Bank sorting donations, preparing referrals and running our database. I got involved while on maternity leave a...fter seeing a post on Facebook asking for volunteers. I think the thing I enjoy most about LBB apart from the obvious way it benefits families is that it’s a massive collaborate effort between some very dedicated ladies which is nice to be part of and really inspiring.’ What would you do if you had a free day to yourself? ‘I’d like to say something adventurous but in reality I would probably sit on the sofa, watch lots of Netflix with a packet a chocolate hobnobs and endless cups of tea....!’ There are lots of different volunteer roles at Leeds Baby Bank, from admin to collecting donations, working in our unit or fundraising. Flexible hours with full training given. Come and join us!

Good evening Baby Bank team! We are now running low on baby monitors so these have been added to the wishlist. If you are able to donate these or any other items on our list we would be really grateful. In the past month, your generous donations have supported families seeking asylum, women fleeing domestic violence, families struggling to make ends meet on universal credit and many other difficult circumstances.
