Was my first festival and took my 2 boys 10 & 13 as maybe only time they will get to see Eminem wasn't sure what to expect but it was brilliant I expect to see people doing whatever substances they have and only saw one even though was the smell of weed in the air but I used to be a raver so saw a lot worse and the toilets are how you would expect with so many people didn't see any trouble and did leave before the end of Eminem because my 10 year olds legs had had enough after a long day so we missed all the problems getting out

User

The line up is absolutely dog shit so if you want a pair of weekend camping tickets Β£125 cheaper than the leeds festival website buy mine on Viagogo or stubhub.

User

The Eminem concert last year (2017) was EPIC...

The venue is really awesome and staff are friendly....

User

My first time at Leeds fest.....and what a time I had. Amazing company and amazing new people to have a laugh a dance with. A festival is what you make it!! Brilliant time all round and brilliant acts. Don't listen to the bad reviews you can't please everyone. 10/10 leeds festival.. Eminem you rocked my world x

User

Loved every minute of it 5 stars only because that's the max limit loads of people loving life the atmosphere was bouncing the music and entertainment was unreal and if people think there's not gonna be messes there there deluded I was sober this year but I may very well get wobbled next year because we can as free people Eminem and majorlazor we're unreal I'll be back next year οΏ½οΏ½οΏ½

User

Love the Leeds event, is it me but do the bands play later into the the night here? As Reading seems to have a curfew on that one.

Back again for 2018

User

Leeds festival was class! Really hope Canny Bonny Boudoir are there again this year.

User

It's my 7 time to leeds festival and its better than a holiday abroad if the weather's nice.

Also when are the pay monthly tickets on sale?

Thanks

User

If you didn't like the toilet state the portalou in main area where fine. Security of your tent is your responsibility keep your valuables on you. Leeds can't employ a security guard for every bloody tent what else do u expect them to do. I left the camp and was on the motorway in 10 minutes on the Monday and was pleasantly surprised.

Again the Dj til 6 was annoying but I decided to pay for the cheap camp tickets other options where available.

Music was great.

People giving the festival 1/2 stars are all wet behind the ears and need to take responsibility for what they paid for not expecting the impossible from the organisers.

You get what you pay for!!

First time to leeds fest and couldnt fault it one bit. You aint gonna please everyone but for me and my mates, we all had an incredible time. The atmosphere was awesome didnt see one bit of trouble. We only came for the sunday, and that one days experience makes me want to come back next year. Soo glad they did the shuttle bus. Made life so much easier, even if it did take 2hr to get home from queuing to being dropped off. But that sounded quick compared to other form of transportation. For saying it was a festival i was quite surprised of the tolite situation as i was expecting it to be alot worse. Take my hat off to all the staff who worked hard to keep every one safe, fed, watered and entertaned. All the acts we seen was awesome all in there own way. All in all a Great festival by far! Roll on 2018!!

User

First time at leeds and I loved it soooo much. Roll on 2018! The toilet state was as expected as thousands of people use them οΏ½ other than that it was an amazing experience and definitely see u there 2018!

User

4th time at Leeds and still love every minute of it. . I took my 11yr old grandson this time and sat at front of mainstage watching all the bands for over 8hrs so we could have front row for Eminem who may I add was amazing. . The crowd control staff were excellent with my grandson while waiting always coming over asking if he was ok and kept a constant flow of water coming to him... my only concern is I do think security at the entrance gates should be stepped up my grandson wasn't searched once we could have given him anything to carry in they would never have known so please Leeds step up security

User

We loved being there as a family enjoying great music. Improvements needed with support in key areas. Toilets need to be so much better. Crowd care needs more great staff to help out keeping everything safe and happy. Exit from the grounds needs to improve hugely, car park organisation for leaving needs to be properly staffed with experienced people to keep order. Litter, the festival needs even more incentives to keep the park clean. Keep people from throwing flares and pints around. Stop people bringing glass bottles in and chucking toilet roll around.

Brilliant music, great acts, amazing lights.

User

Overall we had a great time, only came for the Sunday and was my 1st time at Leeds, majority of people were very friendly, as were the all the staff and they were so helpful, security was poor, could of got anything in there. Such a shame there was so many young girls 11 to 15yr olds off there faces either drunk or high, who the heck was their responsible adult? really! you left them open to so much danger anything could of happened to them, some of them were so rude, got called a bitch cos i didnt move out of her way quick enough! apart from that great atmosphere & made some lovely new friends.

User

Festival was a success once again, loved every minute of it but isn't it time you updated the place abit, bigger better main stage and sort the dance tent for fuck sake its packed out for nearly every act yet you have a huge NME tent that barely gets full! That's my only complaint to be honest will be nice to see some change for 2018.

User

One early bird pass, weekend camping ticket, and seat of luxury Β£255 (minus booking fee- will send out as soon as i receive. due to someone letting me down

User

Eminem was amazing so pleased I finally saw him! Major lazer was good too but people were passing out from being crushed in the crowd. You need more loos and beer tents for the amount of people there! 40 mins for a beer is a joke. Went to the relentless rave in the woods at the end and you have to walk for ages to get to the loo again. In the meantime someone nicked my purse while getting there and trying to find my mates again in the mountain of rubbish left behind. Leeds fest is great but you really need more organisation and facilities. P.s cheers to the twat that took my money I hope you enjoy the fact you nearly left a girl stranded without a way to get home οΏ½ thankfully I found some decent people that helped me οΏ½

User

Facilities: Organisation skills were unbelievably terrible, 4 bars in the whole venue serving tens of thousands of people, there were literally more noodle bars than there were bars οΏ½.

Security: For some reason I couldn't take my 'non A4' bag into the stage area bt I cud buy a 'A4 bag' to put my backpack into to take that into the stage area. So I did this and once in I just then reverted to my original backpack and carried my new a4 bag inside there. If me, my flask of tea and frozen pizza outsmarted their security protocols any potential drug dealers, terror attackers or whatever would get through no bother. This made me feel super safe for the duration of my time here οΏ½

Parking: All the people who came for the day had to park in the same area so this meant thousands of people all walking in same direction at the same time through a very poorly lit and not very wide area, this was as dangerous as it was tedious. If there needed to be a evacuation at this point alot of people would have been trampled to death.

Staffing: For whatever reason there no staff on hand when we left so ended up sat stuck in the car park with thousands of other cars not moving an inch for 3 hours as no one was there to usher cars out. The fact that there was also no lighting or signage around these fields too made this even more frustrating as nobody knew where where to go.

Organanizers: Who ever is in charge off these individual things should be fired as they are clearly piss poor at their jobs. Simple as that.

Eminem was unbelievable but that zero to do with Leeds Festival and anything they did.

Asked for a reason why we were trapped in a car park for 3 1/2 hours and got this response full of lies

Dear Lyndsay,

Thank you for your email dated 28th August. We were sorry to read of your complaint about Leeds Festival.

We do agree that it took longer than we would have liked for many customers to exit the Brown Car Parks by car on Sunday night after the main entertainment finished and we apologise sincerely for this delay. Sunday was our busiest day and as you would expect, everyone who had driven wanted to leave at more or less the same kind of time. There will always be delays leaving at peak times, but we do agree that the delay on Sunday night was longer than we would have wanted.

We overhauled our traffic plan for 2017 following issues in 2016 with pedestrians on the road and failures with the pick up and public transport system and these aspects of this year’s operation worked very well. Unfortunately this success has resulted in delays leaving the day car park in Brown as the A64 was prioritized in order to keep the pick up operation moving as slickly as possible as a priority. We would obviously prefer no-one to be held up and for everyone to leave as quickly as possible but on balance if there is to be a delay in leaving the site, we would prefer that this was suffered by people who are safe in their cars in the car parks rather than people waiting to be picked up who might be tempted to walk offsite onto dark, busy and unsafe roads to try and find their lift, as was the case last year.

Having said that, now that we have an understanding of how our new plan works, we can learn from it and we are confident we can get the exit from Brown Car Parks working better next year and this will be our priority. We did manage to bring a 2nd contingency gate into operation at around 2am and that helped relieve the pressure and it may be that we can plan to bring this in from the outset of the mass exit next year.

We would always encourage our festival goers to arrive and leave by public transport and we will also continue to prioritise this operation moving forwards. A very significant number of festival goers enjoyed a smooth journey both to and from site, including at peak times and we hope you will join us again in the future and experience this for yourself.

I do hope your experience did not mar your enjoyment of the festival as a whole. Thank you very much for taking the time to write to bring this matter to our attention, it is very much appreciated and we hope you will join us again in the future.

Kind Regards,

Lucy Kinsella

Licensing Coordinator (Leeds Festival)
