We signed up my two sons in Oct’17 to help build a little bit of confidence, mix with others and generally learn a few different life skills.



The whole team down at Aegis are fantastic and make you feel so welcome every time you step through the door. They have helped not only my oldest son, but just watching the focus and attention my 3yr old gives the teacher, really makes me proud and I see a change in him every time he steps in the mat.



Watching them progress over the months really made me a realise I wanted to be part of it too, so my wife and I also joined in earlier this year.



Learning martial arts isn’t about fighting, it’s so much more than that. The soft skills, discipline and life lessons learnt each week have you thinking more than you’d ever expect.

My son joined this class over 2 years ago, he lacked self confidence and worried about what others thought about him. Not only does he love training 2 or 3 times a week, he now has a more positive attitude and his confidence has grown 200%. All the instructors do an amazing job. Watching my sons progression has been great to watch, and a couple of months go my husband and I along with our other children decided to join, and love it too. My son Jake has been attending Leeds North AEGIS Academy since the age of 3 yrs old. He initially joined Martial Arts to help him with symptoms and pain from Juvenile Arthritis. When he first started he was a shy, quiet little boy who took weeks to have the courage to get on the mat. The instructors were fantastic with him, encouraged him and boosted his confidence and he is now growing into a confident, polite and caring young man. In the 5 years that Jake has trained here he has achieved 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree Black Belt and is now working toward becoming a certified instructor one day and he is only 8 yrs old. The instructors are like members of the family who not only care about your martial arts journey but also help and offer advice in problems in your life. Jake has suffered bullying within school and the instructors have taught him how to deal with the bullies in a non violent way and how to stand up to them and be confident. I can't praise the work they have done with my children enough and I would recommend the school to anybody that wants to improve there child or there own life and give them a head start in life.

My son Enzo loves his classes and it's clear the effort that all staff do to help his development inside and outside classes with the black belt leadership.
