“The mission statement of the University really appealed to me… turning out young adults who are really setting out to make a difference – to make the world a better place.” - Today our Chancellor Deborah McAndrew joined us on campus to talk all things LTU, before heading over to BBC Radio Leeds for an interview with Liz Green to reflect on her career in acting, theatre and role at Leeds Trinity University. Here's a few snaps from the day!

“Being at Leeds Trinity allowed me to finally follow my dream. Not only was the standard of training and teaching excellent, but the support and access to contacts in industry was second to none. Quite simply, without Leeds Trinity I would not have the career I have now.” Mark Kielesz-Levine, MA Journalism

Such a great learning environment, the small student population means that you receive a more personal education and ensures that lecturers always have time for you. There's always plenty of events happening on campus and lots of societies and clubs to get involved with. Definitely don't regret choosing Leeds Trinity!

User

Small campus community, with extremely helpful Tutors and an excellent sports department with great facilities.

My daughter and I went to their open day, lovely uni, lovely students, very welcoming and informative

User

I studied mainly History but for the odd bit of work that included Theology and a bit of Geography but It was a History degree between 2006 and 2009. I got all the help I needed. I came away with a lower 2nd Class degree but for an Exam I got 1st in 1st year. I was guided to the right placement in second year by the staff of the university. I was well looked after.

User

Great personal experience, really enjoy uni here!

User

Great day there missed them

Grduated from this university in 2013...done my masters in Business Management. ...had wonderful experience studyin here ...special thanks to our professor Mr Keith Johnson...

Leeds Trinity University. ..you ll always be remembered...

User

Excellent PGCE experience with Leeds Trinity. The university has been accommodating, supportive and a top-quality educational experience throughout. The two school placements were contrasting and complementary and massively aided my development as a teacher. I feel well-prepared to take on my NQT year and would confidently recommend LTU to any budding teacher.

Am an x student, Class of 85. Trinity and All Saints will always have a place in my heart. It is a very family orientated college which not only has the educational interests of its students at heart but the emotional ones. I leant alot about myself whilst I was a student there and made some very important friendships. I was very proud to leave Trinity with a First......I think I surprised even myself!!!!!

User

23 years after graduating from Trinity and All Saints (as it was) with my BA, I returned to graduate with my MA!

User

I'm not coming to study here but our Daughter is hopefully in September 2017. We had a fantastic tour yesterday with a very nice ambassador (Daniel I think his name was) He had a lot of good things to say about the university and answered all our questions and filled us confidence. As parents we feel more secure now having seen the university and now know the university is right for her.

User

I spent my Erasmus at Leeds Trinity! I had a great year here and made loads of friends. LTU has an amazing community of international students and there are always events and weekend trips to experience. Brilliant university!

User

I enjoyed my time at Trinity - 1997-2000 Good memories

User

Why does the canteen close at 6.42 when it's supposed to close at 7? I am broke tonight and need an inexpensive dinner, now going hungry because of 18 minutes trading they seeminly didn't want! Also, many people out there to hurt you and more seemingly at Leeds Trinity. Appalling.

User

...better university's out there. Wouldn't recommend.

User

all applying for PGCE course, wont recommend it as this university needs already trained teachers! one lady commands all the interview , no one else is there to be the witness what shes doing there .... wow. She commanded all the interview and decided herself whom she will let the place. The test went well for me, she uttered some questions and that's it. she asked to share something related to ks3 topic. she said its above the level!!! thats rejection ....she made her mind.she did not take into account creativity, linking of ideas..... anything. It was discrimination for me i am sure she was not keen to supervise the ethnic background she wont like, i felt it...that's it.

The question is if u want to take trained teacher then what are u doing with 9K fee??? How can I believe that a pharmacist , masters degree holder from this country , who has passed professional skills test cant be the applicant of a shortage list subject chemistry ???

there will be 35 students in the course, she needs the ones who are teachers already to ease herself.

The question is what uni will do with the fee when they already need professionals ????

its a course to train....!!! ridiculous. I really faced discrimination. And this uni is earning free through PGCE i believe. no one in interview?? and she did not take subject audit from me for the second choice even.

I know there is support for ones who lack knowledge through subject enhancement and then she needs trained person to be taken? what university is doing with the fee for PGCE??? horrible
