Our winter Porch Gallery exhibition displays the work of Leeds designer and printmaker Kirstie Williams. Her colourful pieces, often screen or lino printed, are inspired by 1950s surface pattern and geometric pattern. Kirstie follows Slow Design philosophies, emphasising slowness in the creation and consumption of her works, to instil quality and foster tradition.
Drop into the Porch Gallery on a Monday or Wednesday between 10am and 4pm to see KIrstie's work, or come to the opening event on 5 December (please see our other listings for details). You can also see it on your way through the porch if you come to another event. Kirstie's work is available to view until the end of January.

What a wonderful afternoon I have had. Afternoon tea meeting lovely people from the community and it didn't cost a penny. More of this is needed in the world.

Big love indeed.

We had our Wedding Breakfast and evening do here and would just like to thank the staff at the Left Bank for all of their help and efforts in making what was an amazing day for Jemma and I. So many stresses on the day were alleviated and their help in setting up, the service and everything else inbetween that went in to the day will not be forgotten. So many of our guests commented on what a beautiful venue it is. A special thank you to Esme and Sarah. We will be back for all of the beer and food festivals and many of the other events that go on in this amazing place.

User

Superb venue, lovely helpful staff; enjoyed Shared Work Space and Afternoon Tea, not to mention an Art Exhibition! I shall be coming back again and again!

User

Looking forward to seeing Emily serve her Vietnamese food Bánh mi booth fresh crusty bread filled with char su pork chicken or tofu and fabulously fresh concoction !

User

I've had many fantastic visits to Left Bank. Wine tasting, beer festivals, art installations and even a wedding! An amazing space and the staff that work there are always welcoming.

If you haven't been yet, GO! And I can guarantee that your first words will be wow!

User

I've attended weddings, gigs, art exhibitions and Leeds International Film Festival screenings here. Beautiful space.

I'd describe Left Bank Leeds as a hidden gem, with a definite surprise and wow factor when you walk in from the road. Our guests were amazed with how stunning our venue was and several commented saying it's the best wedding they had ever been to! One of the perks about this venue is that it can be personalised as much or as little as you want. We went for the complete package, meaning our tables were dressed by the venue (I just supplied centre pieces) and it included arrival dinks, wine with the meal and toast drinks. This also gave us the freedom to explore different caterers and pick exactly what we like, as Left Bank Leeds don't supply caterers but did recommend some for us to explore. The extensive space meant we were also able to hire soft play for the children to play in the same room, but away from the dining tables. And many other extras such as A DJ, LOVE lights and A Magic mirror photo booth which all looked amazing side by side and meant no one had to leave the room.

Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff and during every part of the process, from the wedding open day, to wine tasting and on the evening itself everyone was so helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. I'd highly recommend having a wedding at Left Bank Leeds. You will not be disappointed!

Thank you to all the staff for making it such a special day for us, Rebecca and Luke Lumbis.

I went to check out the choir, The Left Bank Vocal Collective (LBVC). There's a suggested donation of £5, which I was happy to pay. Free hot drinks are available, just grab a cup and make what you fancy. Have a chat with the other members before getting down to some vocal warm-ups. Everyone is welcoming and friendly. You don't have to read music, I don't, but it comes in useful if you can. The songs are enjoyable and put you through your paces while you learn them. I can see my voice will develop a lot with this choir. Did I mention everyone's friendly and welcoming lol.

Great crowd, Lovely atmosphere .. and good booze :) x

User

Fabulous space. I went to a circus workshop here and it was a really lovely environment, nice high ceiling, clean, colourful, good facilities.

Cannot say anything other than “utterly amazing”. We had our wedding there a couple of weeks back. The friendly staff at Left Bank, especially Esme and Sarah, made it all so easy. The venue was jaw dropping anyway, even when it wasn’t decorated for our wedding day. Our guests - to a man and a woman - all commented on what an amazing venue it was. We had a fab party. The band we hired sounded stupendous in this incredible space. Can’t thank Left Bank enough. Oh - and way cheaper than packages that hotels can offer. Brilliant!! We’ll return to this fab venue many, many times and cherish the great memories it helped to provide. Thanks!

Came with the wifey for the cider festival beautifully atmospheric place

User

Beautiful space, wonderful atmosphere, and unexpectedly warm!

User

Beautiful and original venue for events! Now firmly one of my faves. Will be recommending!

User

Absolutly loved the acoustics. Great bar/cafe set up. Relaxed atmosphere just one issue to sort and that's the toilets. Constant que's of 5/6 people. Maybe portable toilet outside too would help

User

A lovely, friendly space. The acoustics were a challenge for the musicians but they worked hard and overcame the challenges.

My husband remembers singing in the choir here when he was a child! It was so good to see it being put to such good use as a performance venue and having new life breathed into it.

User

A great interior. Loved it & i enjoyed looking at the enormous prints, at the Abandoned Yorkshire exhibition.

Not the kind of images i would want hanging in my living room, but nice to see, all the same :)

User

A glorious venue for bespoke, Humanist weddings. I've been fortunate enough to conduct several Humanist Wedding ceremonies here and it really is a joy. Despite being an imposing space, each unique ceremony feels very personal and intimate within the setting. The flexibility of the space really gives couples an opportunity to create a celebration that is uniquely theirs. As we celebrants say, if you want to do 'Your wedding, Your way', then LeftBankLeeds could be just what you're looking for.

User

An amazing space to chill out in. Doesn't look much from the outside but don't be fooled, as the inside is fantastic.
