Lightwaves Community Trust

Lightwaves is a leisure and community centre, based in central Wakefield, which offers a variety of sports, events and facilities.

In 2012, Lightwaves Community Trust took on the management of Lightwaves Leisure Centre to save the centre from closure.

The Trust is made up of representatives of Lightwaves users, local organisations and residents. It aims to provide an excellent service in partnership with its users and plans to introduce more affordable facility hire prices, that will hopefully encourage new users from the community to get active and use Lightwaves.
