We've been craving Mexican for a good while so thank God we came across Lupe's Cantina on a search of restaurants not too far from where we live. Even at the early time we dined this place was buzzing. Had a wonderfully warm welcome and the drinks service was swift (Lupe's Margarita for me). The food really is something to behold, so many complex flavours and not just chilli heat. And if you actually do have a little space left for dessert I'd advise you pick one and share it as the portions are very generous. Definitely going to be added to our go to list. Loved it!

We went last night for food and I have to leave a review to say wow!!!!what a place, the food was amazing, cocktails were delicious and service was great.

This truly is a special place. Authentic, freshly cooked mexican delights - best guacamole ever - served by super friendly staff. The venue is beautifully quirky/arty and the prices are very reasonable. Everyone should try this little gem.

This little jewel of a restaurant could easily be in a small Mexican town. This family run restaurant has a real warm and welcoming atmosphere, with very authentic food.



The Maître D' guided us through the menu, offering us excellent advice, which helped us make excellent menu choices, suitable for everyone.

I love it here! The service is relaxed and the staff are knowledgeable about the dishes. Very chilled out and good selection of dishes and drinks. Me and my husband usually share two or three dishes and then I would strongly recommend the salted chocolate caramel cake. It is enormous and sooo tasty.

Five of us went here to celebrate a 30th birthday, it was Saturday afternoon and very quiet, we ordered the usual guacamole, salsa and tortilla chips along with a good selection of other things off the menu (helped by our friendly waitress) everything was authentic and delicious, we will definitely be back even though we traveled from Newcastle. Every time I think of Lupes Cantina Mexicana my mouth waters!

Don't think I've ever had such great Mexican food . Unassuming building , warm friendly staff , cool deco all add up to a great relaxed evening with authentic Mexican food. Been to many dodgy Mexican chain restaraunts in London but they pale in significance to this. The real deal .

Best Mexican food I've had outside Mexico! And I should know I'm Mexican, not a stodgy Burrito in sight, the menu is packed full of authentic home made Mexican dishes. Will visit again soon

Absolutely stunning food!!!!! We had a large party so tried about half the menu and each dish was as delicious as the last. Service was exceptional! All round fantastic evening. It was our first visit and we definitely be returning can't stress enough how beautiful the food was!!!!!

Excellent genuine Mexican food. Flautas, enchiladas, tacos and more exotic dishes. I had the short ribs special. Very good. Superb salsa and guacamole too. Top margarita and other cocktails a bonus. Only negative is the price vs quantity. Would definitely go back. In fact have been twice in 2 weeks. But a special rather than a regular place.
