Our EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta WRC had the pace to win this weekend’s Rally Turkey, but it wasn’t to be – a rare mistake preventing Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia from claiming the victory and retaking the lead of the FIA World Rally Championship.
Despite the disappointment, the entire squad pulled together and were applauded for being the embodiment of teamwork.
We also take encouragement from the performance of Teemu Suninen Racing who impressed once again – overco...ming his youth and inexperience to claim a fantastic fourth place overall.

Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia were chasing an incredible victory behind the wheel of their EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta WRC at Rally Turkey today – only for it to be denied by a rare and costly mistake.
But there was good news for the Cumbrian squad’s young protégée – Teemu Suninen Racing and Mikko Markkula moving into an impressive and highly creditable fourth place.
There was also better fortune for Elfyn Evans and Daniel Barritt who delivered an assured performance... to climb back to seventh place overall.

Our mechanics are the best in the world, and we're including Sébastien Ogier, Julien Ingrassia, Elfyn Evans and Daniel Barritt in that praise too!
Finishing the second stage of the day with a broken wishbone, Seb and Julien made an expert roadside repair that was strong enough to see them set the fastest time thorugh the following speed test.
Then in service, it was all hands on deck as to ensure Seb had a perfect car for the afternoon loop - our mechanics changing the tran...smission and full front suspension in just 30 minutes.
Elfyn and Dan even helped out with their own service so that more mechanics were freed up to help with Seb's car - Elfyn helping to change the wishbone and Dan adjusting the ride height.
It was a fantastic effort from everyone involved and we're immsensely proud of our team even if we missed out on the victory this afternooon...

The EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta WRC had the potential to deliver a double podium at this weekend’s ADAC Rallye Deutschland, but it wasn’t to be – Sébastien Ogier denied a chance of victory and Elfyn Evans missing out on the fight for the podium positions.
Yet despite the disappointment, the performance of the top-specification Fiesta shone through – Ogier salvaging valuable points with fourth place and a win in the Power Stage, and Teemu Suninen Racing delivering a highly im...pressive drive to fifth place on his maiden outing with a world rally car on asphalt.
The Fiesta’s performance also went unrewarded further down the field – Eric Camilli retiring his EcoBoost-powered Ford Fiesta R5 from the lead of the WRC 2 category yesterday afternoon, and Jean-Baptiste Franceschi having to retire his one-litre EcoBoost Ford Fiesta R2 from the lead of the RC4 class before the event’s final stage.
