We came along initially for the bottomless prosecco evening which actually turned into a wonderful wine tasting experience, we had lovely hors d’oeuvres and after working up more of an appetite we stayed and enjoyed a main. Great evening, lovely food and knowledgeable friendly staff, well done, we will be back �

Very relaxed friendly atmosphere. The food is good . The staff are all lovely. You are definitely not rushed. Great place to eat out with friends.

Not been to this place for a very long time as we thought it had closed down, however after we was recommended to go we thought we would give it a try. We was not disappointed. Excellent friendly service and lovely tasty food at a very reasonable price. We will definately be back and recommend mama mias to our friends and family. The only recommendation I would give the management is to have a bit of back ground music to give atmosphere on quieter evenings as we ate there on a tuesday evening ehen the restaurant wasnt full.

Not been here for over 20 years and was looking forward to another visit. The good was 5 out of 5, the service again was 5 out of 5. The Pantone pudding was to die for. I had it with chocolate ice cream. Amazing.

Me and my partner took the kids here last night. The staff were very friendly and welcoming nothing was 2 much trouble we had a lovely meal enjoyed by all. Starters, mains and deserts included all the food was delicious. We will definatly return. Thank you for a lovely evening x

Its been 20 yrs since I was last in here and I dont know why I havent been back. This place is amazing, its like stepping back to my youth days when I first met my wife. The food is 10 out of 10... the atmosphere and staff are great. If your looking for a romantic blast from the past with all the ticks in the boxes ... this place has it all. I know it wont be another 20 yrs before I return ... but might become a regular.

I'd not been since I was 16, for a friend's birthday (am now 43) having moved back to Pontefract, I will definitely be back, great food, great staff, we were both so impressed!

Had a fantastic evening for our Grandsons 2nd birthday foot was lovely and the staff we're fantastic made our night

Great service has always , good choice of meals , gluten free catered for very enjoyable meal definetly go again

Came tonight for a meal with friends.... I’ve got to be honest I haven’t been in years i didn’t rate it previously, but tonight I’ve been so pleasantly surprised.

The food was fantastic. The service was excellent.

There were a lot of large parties in tonight and it didn’t seem to phase anyone there, there was no waiting, the food was hot and fresh and of excellent quality.

Really impressed I will definitely be coming back soon.

After visiting this restaurant yesterday, I was so impressed I plan on returning again and recommending it to all my friends & family.



The service is polite, welcoming, chatty - after leaving you practically feel like one of the family! Service was prompt, and I loved that the chef also came out to ask what we thought of the food.



The food was gorgeous; loved the rice balls starter, the main - steak - was cooked to perfection, dessert - homemade creme brûlée - was also lovely, and all food was well presented. Portions were a very generous size. They had a nice selection of wines, gins, & liquors to choose from, as well as teas, coffees, and other drinks.



The restaurant is run by a lovely family. The decor is traditional, which I personally loved, and all hand painted by a local artist, who returns to add more portraits to the scene as the family grows - such a beautiful idea! There are also beautiful artworks around the restaurant of scenes inspired by Italy, including landscapes / seascapes and architecture.



Wheelchair access was good; there are two entrances, one with a small step, and the other completely flat. The restaurant itself is fully accessible; larger wheelchairs may slightly struggle with space, but all staff are very accommodating, willing to help, and happy to move furniture if needed.



All in all, a lovely experience; I cannot wait to visit again! :-)

3 in our party and we all absolutely 100% enjoyed it. Top food, Top service. My only criticism is we don't go enough...

Fantastic staff, great atmosphere. Really good food & drink however the Sea Bass had too many bones in it �

Visited with a group of 4. Service was very slow with starters and main courses being brought out at different times so food was going cold whilst we waited for everyone to receive their meal. Calzone Kiev has no garlic or garlic butter very little cheese and lots of watery spinach and was burnt on top. Radiators on full when it’s hot outside made it unbearable. Bill requested 4 times before it came and then no change brought. Very disappointing and will not be returning.
