We have spaces on our Annie Sloan Workshop 1 on Thursday 2 August 10.30-2.30pm. If you’re interested please call us at the shop to book.
Workshops are also ideal for older teenagers, birthdays or even Hen parties. A good old together with friends while you learn a new skill and enjoy an afternoon tea.

We’ve been a few times before and this lovely little place never fails to impress us! The café itself is beautiful and serves gorgeous products (I highly recommend the Oreo cake) but the service is by far the best part! Friendliness in staff is so appreciated - other places could do to learn a thing or two!

� When leaving, I’d forgotten my scarf, and I was really touched when one of the lovely ladies ran out with it!

Went with my 90 year old grandma and 2 year old son, plus me being coeliac. They were fab making sure that I had no cross contamination and the gluten free bread was yummy. Gave crayons and books for my little boy and a take away container for my grandma's cake. Really catered well for all 3 of our varying needs. Will definitely be back �

My friend and I were looking to meet up for a catch up and a light lunch and Marmalade was recommended to us.

It was my first visit yesterday and i took my grandma and 3 year old. Lovely, friendly staff who fetched my little girl some crayons to draw with. The afternoon tea was amazing, my grandma couldnt finish her cake so they were happy to box it up for us to take home 😊 we really enjoyed our visit and will be back!

Is cute and hearty at the same time possible?

The mis-matched China tea pots, cups, saucers and plates are cutesy. But the veggie Platter has plentiful, fresh, well-textured, filling and delightful.

Loads of seating space upstairs as well as down.

Clients included the obvious and less so - mums having afternoon tea, families, friends, me, booked parties, lunch grabbers and so on.

Well-worth checking out.

I went for lunch for my birthday today and had a fabulous time, the food was lovely and I'd put the brownie up there with one of the best I've ever had! My mum and boyfriend had two of the other cakes and they were all thoroughly enjoyed! Will definitely be back for more coffee and cake in the future!

I had my baby shower here this weekend. Absolutely fantastic time. We had the second floor to ourselves (party of 16 - perfect amount for space). The food was lovely, the room barely needed anything doing to it when I arrived because they had decorated it so nicely and the staff were really friendly. They left us to ourselves so it felt like it was our space to relax in, yet were always popping in to see if we were ok or needed anything. Thank you so much for making the day so memorable ladies.

Highly recommend this gem of a Coffee/Tea shop. The service is very welcoming and friendly and the quality of the food and drinks are exceptional. I ordered a birthday cake whilst we were there for my wife's 40th Birthday a few weeks later. The communication right up to me picking the cake up was fantastic. The quality of the cake was AMAZING and tasted just as good. Thank you ladies.

Had the mad hatters afternoon tea which was lovely, good choice of cakes, scones and lots of tea! staff were attentive and service was good. Would go back.

First time here. With my friend Kelsie, we went for coffee and a bite to eat. It's a really nice and friendly place. An excellent range of hot and cold sandwiches and some really wonderful delicious cakes. Next time I'm in Wakefield, I will be visiting again. I can highly recommended a visit to the 'Marmalade' Easy place to find, just up and behind from the cathedral. Thanks so much. x

Excellent afternoon teas, including a fully vegan option which was delicious. Great sandwiches, scones and cakes all round. Everyone loved it. Would definitely recommend for excellent service and great food. Table setting and vintage plates, cups etc were all good and extras for my mum's birthday were a nice and thoughtful touch, thank you :)

Came in for afternoon tea with my mum & sister for mothers day treat lovely staff very welcoming the afternoon tea was very nice really enjoyed plenty of different fillings on sandwiches the cake & scones were nice & fresh would definitely recommend & come back again thanks for a lovely afternoon �

Came here for lunch today with my Mum, sister and 3 year old daughter. Never have I been anywhere so inviting! Our daughter was truly spoilt from arriving to leaving. She was given books to read and the waitresses really engaged with her which she loved. We sat on the couch by the window with the little children's table and chairs.

We ordered two panini's, a cold sandwich, pancakes and a children's sandwich meal. Then we obviously had to try the cakes for afters which were delicious.

It was very reasonably priced, I liked how the children's sandwich meal wasn't expensive (£2.50-I think) and 50p drink. Most places are in excess of £5 then a drink on top.

We have all said we can't wait to return! Thankyou for making of lunch experience such a pleasure.

What a gem of a place, I am allergic to dairy and usually hate eating out but the lovely lady informed me not only they had dairy free margarine, soya milk, and chocolate cake I could have! Amazing! It's not often this happens so a great find if you suffer allergies. Our food and coffees were perfect and a lovely setting and atmosphere. Thank you I will definitely be back!

I went with my daughter, sister- in-law, and my nephews fiance and their new born baby boy. The food and drinks were delicious. The staff were very attentive and we didn't appear to be rushed. We all had a very nice relaxing experience. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Well done to all staff involved. X
