Well...its been a wet and messy weekend!! Really enjoyed seeing the photos wedding guests have taken of me, I'm going to share them and also show the resulting images. They will still need a bit of 'polishing' so not quite the final image that will be delivered to the bride and grooms
Also, just a quick side note. I am not unique as a photographer who lays in puddles, gets in rivers and goes wading through mud baths.
The reason why we do it, and I'm sure I am not speaking fo...r myself here, is because Brides and Grooms place so much trust in us to capture one of the biggest days of their lives. If it means I am going to get a bit wet, or get some mud on my shirt, I don't really care to be honest. I will be getting a shower that evening, and the shirt and trousers will go through the wash. If a bride wants to step out when conditions aren't perfect, then so am I, after all they have chosen me, and I'm going to do everything I can to get amazing photos!!!

Where do I even start?! Matt I wish I could give you more than 5 stars because you are amazing!! Incredibly talented and all round lovely guy.



Making sure we had Matt as our wedding photographer was one of the first things on our wedding to do so list; we knew his work was outstanding and he had to be the one to capture our day.



From the moment Matt arrived at Mum and Dad’s to the last after dark photos, he made everyone instantly feel at ease and captured the day perfectly. He never stopped all day, making sure he got the perfect shots and checking everything was OK with us.



We really can not recommend Matt highly enough, there are no words to explain how fantastic he is at what he does. We are absolutely over the moon that not only was he our wedding photographer, but very much a huge part of our special day.



Matt you truly are simply the best

Well, I'm not sure where to start really.

Matt was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and went beyond any of our expectations. Matt gave us loads of great advice on the day and on the approach to our wedding and really put us at ease. The results of Matt & Jess' hard work were just staggering and we couldn't have asked for anymore. If you are looking for a truly amazing photographer for your wedding, we really can't recommend Matt enough and thanks so much for helping to make our day so special. Well what can I say that hasn't already been said?! Well deserved 5* reviews from everyone and everything everyone has already said is absolutely 100% spot on! After booking our venue, Matt was our next booking so we had just over 2 years til the wedding and in that time we were in constant contact with Matt and he became more than just our photographer, he is our friend! And although I am sad that the wedding is over I know the contact between us is not (which makes me feel a little bit less sad haha)

I would 100% without a doubt recommend Matt to anyone. He mingled so well with all our guests, so much so that everyone we spoke to after our wedding were full of his praises! And the kids ADORED him!

I don't feel very comfortable in front of the camera but I loved posing for my photos with Matt, he is so much fun and every single one of our photos are beautiful!

I would also like to add, Matt went out of his way for us to make us (me lol) happy when I made an extra request!

Well well well, what to say about Matt?!?! Something along the lines of he is the most awesome wedding photographer to have ever graced this planet!



We first met Matt at a wedding fayre at Thorpe Park Hotel & Spa (which was actually our wedding venue). We were drawn to Matt for 2 reasons .... 1. He takes unbelievably beautiful photos and 2. He has a cracking personality. We knew in that moment that he was the guy that we wanted to capture our special day and booked him immediately.



16 months later our day arrived and so did Matt and his assistant. He is fantastic at putting everyone at ease whilst in front of the camera and he makes sure he gets the best shot.



His banter is spot on!!! My hubby's lovely lot of groomsman are 'typical lads,' love a bit of banter, but Matt can take it as well as give it back and we all really did have a lot of laughs.



Nothing was too much to ask; any extra shots you wanted, that was fine, Matt would take them. He is talented, professional and so down to earth and calming. My list of all his qualities could go on and on and on.



6 days after the wedding and our photo's were ready and OMG .. they are absolutely amazing. Our day was so action packed and fun but Matt had managed to capture absolutely everything and I am so pleased that we have all the lovely memories to look back on.



I have had so many positive comments about Matt since the wedding; almost every guest at our wedding has expressed to us how great he was. It felt like he was actually a guest himself rather than our photographer as he just slotted right in.



Matt will always be at the top of my recommendation list for friends/family who need a photographer. We're gutted our day has been and gone but we thank Matt from the bottom of our hearts for our stunning photos of the best day of our lives xxx

We simply cannot explain the absolute legend that Matt is....

He literally not only captured our day (beautifully so) but he actually added to it and made it even better (and sillier) :)

He is without doubt the best at what he does and to say that both myself and my partner are shy around cameras we got some amazing shots!

Every single guest commented on how brilliant he was and how he kept them entertained throughout the day and we had several people telling us that he had made them regret their own choice of photographer!

We first found out about Matt through a recommendation from people at work, we went to see him and saw his work, from that moment we were convinced that Matt would be able to provide us some pictures that all the other photographers we were looking at couldn't.

On the day it felt like Matt was just another guest as he blended in well, putting people at ease whilst being professional in getting the shots he needed to, as the weather on the day was very changeable between sunshine and rain.

We put our trust in Matt to get the photos which we wanted and he didn't disappoint in the slightest, he even laid in a muddy puddle just so he could capture the right angle for one of our favorite pictures which we have had put on a canvas on our wall. The photos he captured give a true story of our day and we will have difficulty choosing the ones to have in our album.

We wouldn't hesitate in both using Matt again and recommending his services to other people in the future.

There really isn't enough stars for the service Matt provides. After been let down by our first photographer with only a few weeks to go, Matt came to the rescue and offered to shoot ours for us and for that we will always be grateful! Absolutely brilliant day and night and he made our day even more special with the pictures he took. We can't wait to see all the photos now. Thank you so much again Matt!! X

There aren't enough words to sum matt up! He's the most hilarious and laid back guy whilst being so professional and just made our day perfect! He takes so much care in what he does and whilst rolling around on the floor is hilarious in itself the photos at the end are absolutely stunning. So I'm not really sure how to write this review because if I wanted to write down everything I had in my head, it would probably be hundreds of pages long!



We booked Matt as soon as we booked our venue, pretty much two years before our wedding, and from our first appointment we knew Matt was going to be brill, and more than just a photographer!



Our day was brilliant, and we felt that Matt was more of a guest than just someone there to take photos! His charm and banter is something else, and he's a dab hand when it comes to baby sitting as well! Everyone, and I mean everyone, loved him and commented on how good he was! The photos he took have come out superb and we really couldn't have asked for a better photographer!



Not only did we gain a fantastic photographer that we will 100% be using again, we gained a friend, and what more can you ask for!



Thanks Matt for everything you did for us on our wedding day, we can definitely say that without you it wouldn't have been the same!

Not actually received my photos back yet, other than the preview but I wanted to leave a review anyway.

Literally couldn’t be happier with the service I received from Matt. From the moment he arrived at the hotel he exceeded expectations. He helped my dad with his speech, held babies while mothers ate and generally helped make the day go smoothly.

We got married in Wakefield and he knew the area well so was able to take us to fantastic locations to get the best photos possible. He wasn’t afraid to get dirty to get the best angles or tell people what to do in order to get the best photos. He constantly asked me if there was anything I needed and made sure I’d got all the photos I wanted.

Considering the weather, we still managed to get all the photos I wanted and more. His confidence in his work really pays off. Absolutely everyone I’ve spoken to has commented on how good he was on the day and I can’t disagree.

Thanks so much for everything and I’m so excited to get the rest of the photos back!

My husband (Luke Elmer) and I would like to thank Matt Nicholls and his amazing team for the incredible photos that were taken during our special day on Saturday 17th February at Thorpe Park Hotel and the surrounding grounds! We had many quirky requests including some dangerous fireworks! � However it didn’t seem to matter what we demanded, nothing was too much trouble for these guys! Matt was the photographer for our wedding this weekend and he was recommended by my mum as they are friends. At first I thought photography was just a side thing he did and he wasn't a 'professional' photographer so I didn't really know what to expect. Wow was I wrong! Matt was absolutely fantastic all day and he didn't once stop looking for different places where he thought he could get a different photo for us. Both me and my husband are quite shy in front of the camera but Matt put us at ease with his down to earth personality and humour. He explained that the weather wasn't looking too good for the day and so was organised and made sure he got people on and off photos as quickly as possible to ensure we got all the photos we wanted before the rain set in. To show his commitment to getting more than just a bog standard photo Matt was lying in the muddy grass to get a good angle on photos and even went as far as lying in a puddle to get an amazing reflective picture. We honestly cannot thank him enough for how amazing he was throughout the whole day and night we couldn't have asked for a better photographer. The pictures we have seen so far are out of this world and we can't wait to see the finished album.

Matt did our wedding a couple of months ago and was fantastic. He and his sidekick Jess were great fun to be around all day and we couldn't be happier with either the formal photos or the candid ones he took throughout the day. Matt and his team photographed our wedding on January 21st - we could not have picked a better photographer for the day, he made us feel so at ease and even calmed my nerves when I was getting ready, the photos came out so beautifully and he and his team used so many lovely creative methods to capture pivotal points of the day, I can not recommend his services enough and he is worth millions more than we paid for him. If anyone needs any event photographing then do whatever you can to get Matt and his team



I also have to add in that he was so amazing with the children as well, from cheering my sister up when she hurt herself to giving a pep talk and comforting a young guest when she was crying, his services are second to none �

It’s hard to put into words how great Matt is at what he does! When we met him 9 months before our wedding it was a near instant yes from us as he’s such an easy guy to get along with. Fast forward to our wedding day and he was great at putting both my husband and I at ease as well as all our guests, many of whom commented on how unobtrusive he was while at the same time having a laugh with people. We got our photos a few days ago and we can’t stop looking at them! It’s not an obligation but I’d highly recommend having a veil if you choose Matt, his veil shots are incredible. Book this man now, he is an absolute LEGEND!! I booked him for our wedding when this was his second job and have watched him go pro, and his work get better and better (if that’s even possible his photos are just amazing), and was really looking forward to him covering the day for us. He did not disappoint! I can’t stop looking through my photos, they are just fantastic. He listened to which photos I wanted, threw in some ideas of his own and the results are just beyond words. He blended in with everyone else at the wedding and was just like one of the guests, joining in with the banter and jokes, all the while taking photos I didn’t even realise he’d managed to capture!! As the mother of the bride the day was very emotional and I don't remember a great deal of the actual day, however have just relived the day again in pictures which are stunning and breathtaking. What an amazing talent you have, and how you put people at ease in front of the camera. The extra steps you take to get that extraordinary shot is limitless from laying on wet grass, in puddles and rolling around on the floor.

Well looking at all your shots of the day I need more tissues again. Thank you is not enough and can't recommend him enough. Whoever books him can be guaranteed a fantastic day with memories in pictures that will last forever.
