burgers are great and love the jack Daniel's honey. really tasty milkshakes. great service. polite and friendly staff really made us feel welcome. will be looking forward to visiting again ’┐Į­¤¢Æ­¤¢Æ

Went tonight for my daughters birthday. Service was excellent. Staff are friendly and polite and can not do enough for you. Food was amazing as usual. Best burgers by far

Despite reading all the bad reviews, went here today and it was absolutely brilliant!

A lady with a foreign accent served us and was very polite and helpful when we asked for different sauces for the onion rings.

We had Hickory chicken and a burger with chips. The portion sizes are just right and was cooked perfectly!

Strawberry milkshake is to die for!

Visited with my mum-in-law and youngest daughter on Sunday. Loved the decor, service was fast and polite. Milkshakes were excellent, breakfasts were large and although not outstanding, the food was of a decent quality. Clean toilets, decent pricing, we'd come back again.

It was quiet which may have helped with not being kept waiting and the food cooked perfectly but it was really good. Never a fan of this food on a chopping board thing though but other than that cannot really fault it.

Was looking forward to having a lovely burger with fries, unfortunately the fries were cold and same with onion rings burger was hot, got more fries when complained but very mediocre not worth the ┬Ż30 for the two of us

Found this place online whilst looking for Huckleberrys. surprised I hadn't heard about it since I only like 5 minutes away. Now I know why, certainly no one is recommending it.



I ordered the American breakfast, the bacon wasn't anything like American (dry and crispy) but was salty English bacon and the pancakes were thick and doughy. BBQ sausages were nice though.



Wife ordered a big breakfast with fried bread, came with toast and again salty bacon.



Music absolutely blaring, too loud to talk.



And ┬Ż25 for the privilege, will not return..

having an American hubby I thought id treat him to a taste of home..what a crock of shit, you couldn't order what you wanted off the menu..the chef refused to make a simple poached egg on toast even though i explained id had gastric bypass surgery and couldn't eat a full meal..wouldn't even allow me to eat off the kids menu id tried that request first...its the only place in the UK in 2 yrs that's ever refused me a children's meal

mind you although some of the staff were polite it was clear they were neither English or American, and really have NO idea how to run an American diner where their policy is..the customer gets what the customer asks for!

should've read eastern eurpeonian run diner with an American tag that fails miserably

Went today with my granddaughter we both wanted just fries. The place was completely empty apart from us. The waitress with a very strong foreign accent eventually got us to understand we couldnŌĆÖt buy just fries. We got up and left leaving the place once again completely empty. Been at least 5 times before today and didnŌĆÖt have any problem ordering fries. Considering how empty the place was an order of fries is better than no orders at all surely???

Applied for a job here in which I got told I would be employed but it was not very well discussed. I got told I would be contacted about my start date and wasnŌĆÖt, so when I arrived at the restaurant, the manager decided to tell me she had asked me to come to the restaurant which was not mentioned in the ŌĆśinterviewŌĆÖ. Would not recommend.

Miserable staff looked like they didnŌĆÖt want to be there everyone around us that had food complained the food we had was poor we will never visit there again felt sick since we ate !!!

Hot chocolate drinks were disgusting sent back got new and we left them , food was just ok chips were over cooked and then the actual place was dirty after weŌĆÖd finished took pictures so we can complain privately

I asked for ice and got 3 cubes, trying to save money?? One of the cooks was eating while preparing the food if he was that hungry he should have been allowed to go on a lunch break. My husband and daughter ordered and ham and cheese sandwich, my husband was told they didn't have ham but my daughter did get a ham and cheese sandwich. Finally when I paid the receipt had my full card details and expiration date clear as day on it. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! I've tried to contact someone via email but no response.

Go for the decor... not the food, service or facilities



I dont reward one star lightly. Extremely limited vegetarian options for my wife. Wouldnt substitute a vegetarian burger for a burger. Quite a few of the vegetarian options werent available either. She ended up just having waffles... which were stale! (And to top it off the milkshake she ordered seperated and tasted "off")



I had a burger, overcooked and extremely tough. The coleslaw tasted like it came from a supermarket packet rather than freshly made. The root beer is the kind readily available at tesco (brewed in the uk),far overpriced and warm. No ice was offered either.



Waiting staff had to keep leaving to ask questions and we witnessed them just watching on while a mother was trying to carry a babychair and baby at the same time instead of offering to carry the chair.



Mens facilities were absolutely disgusting!! Floor covered in urine, most lights not working. No paper towels to dry your hands and the taps were the "classic" (unheigenic) turn taps.



American diners should deliver on a few fronts... service, the ability to serve simple foods extremely well (burgers, waffles and milkshakes specifically) and decor. The decor being the least important of these... which is the only part they got right.



Dont go... save your money and get a better burger from mcdonalds!

Don't work at Mattia Diner. I have worked here for 1 year and when i left the job i did not received my money. The owner is using the people to work for her and after that she is not paying. That's a shame for such an england person. Using the foreign people to work like a slave. We are not SLAVES. I had to work for 12 hours a day, 6 days a weak. I think it's too much.

Another point of view, there is not a good place to eat. The food is out of date. There is no hygiene there. I saw in the freezer meat out of date for 4 years. She is buying just the cheapest products to make profit. It is not a good place to eat.
