Some of our 2nd year L3 Musical Theatre students have already begun their auditions for HE courses, and the successes they've had so far are incredible!
Shout out to Sally Hirst and Charlotte Burnley, who have been offered unconditional places at Bird College on the BA Hons Musical Theatre course, and to Keiran Constable who has been offered a place on the BA Hons course in Musical Theatre at Emil Dale Academy.

A few more from our great trip to London this week ....

We had a great time in London this week! Our students saw 3 fantastic shows and enjoyed London at Christmas time... Term 1 nearly done so what a way to end it!

Alex Colley! Another one of our graduates carving a career for himself in the industry. Since graduating Alex has been represented by the brilliant 'North of Watford Actors' agency and has been involved with numerous successful national TIE tours: he also wealth of voice over credits. He recently contacted us and made this lovely comment "The teaching standard delivered by the staff is like no other. Every experience allowed me to explore and develop an actors toolkit of sorts, which now underpins every job I work on" Proud as ever!

went to the show last night what an achievement by all the talent on show was amazing,

the cast of the shows produced here are of a very high standard. it is hard to believe it isn't the West end .suchtalent

This is my 5th year at Mechanics and soon will be my 6th year after finishing my top up as I’ve decided I want to stay on because I just love it. All I can say is just AMAZING! All the teachers are outstanding with what they do and the amount of talent there is here is just unreal. From when I started in 2013 I’m not going to lie but I did struggle a lot with all the coursework, picking up dances and lots more but I knew this is what I wanted to do and I wanted to work for it.



Now it’s 5 years later and I can’t believe how much I feel like I’ve improved with everything to what I use to be and that’s all thanks to the teachers with how much they have helped me through all these years, just thank you! You all know who you are. You’ve all taught me a lot and I appreciate everything and it won’t be long till it’s the end for me but I will 100% be going for my dream after finishing. You’ve all given me so much more confidence within myself and studying here was the best decision I ever made so thank you for making me who I am today as a performer. 1 more year left and I really hope it doesn’t go too quick! #TeamMechanics #TheBest

These have been the best 5 years of my life and everyone has helped me so much to grow into the performer I am today. I would never want to change anything because I know for a fact that I would never be able to experience performing the way that I have anywhere else. I highly recommend Mehanics Performing Arts to anyone who wants to perform as highly as we have. I Miss studying here so much and I’d go back again if I could ❤️

The Little Angel Fantastic loved the performance, the music was excellent and wow loved the darker side of this musical. ......bravo to all the cast....can't wait for the next one

Spent two years training here on the level 3 dance course and I have loved every single minute of it! I am now here for another two years studying for my HND in Dance and I love it even more! Mechanics is a great place and provides professional and quality training, amazing staff, amazing people, amazing memories made here EVERY day! Couldn't recommend it enough ��

Never under estimate this college/uni! A brilliant place filled with brilliant and talented people! The training and menories i recieved from this place i will carry for a lifetime! Its difficult to show gratitude to the dance staff especially for all the hard work, effort, time and endless hours they have put into me qnd my trainihg! 10/10! Couldnt recommend enough! �

Literally grew up in this building with amazing fellow students and inspirational tutors! There is so much talent within the walls of this department it makes me so proud to know I graduated with a 1st from it!

I spent an unmissable few years at Wakefield, support is fantastic, encouraging tutors and fellow pupils, a great team atmosphere. BTEC and HND dance ‘09

I have seen every show , some more than once, and they are absolutely fabulous. Where else could you watch West End stars perform with students? Where else could you be trained by a West End star? Seriously though the shows are so professional and the students so hard working. I still miss Rent , superb, Legally Blonde ,pink and perfect, We will Rock You , seeking the grail. Mechanics students know their craft.

I absolutely love this place, Its been a pleasure to be a student here for the past 4 years. I studied the level 3 BTEC in Musical Theatre and then moved onto the HND course. Mechanics has helped me develop my performance skills but has also help me grow as a person. I have created friendships that I know will last a lifetime and memories that I will never forget. I couldn't have wished for a better place to study and I will deeply miss being in that building, performing with my best friends!

HND Theatre was the absolute best! I cannot give a higher recommendation. The teaching is absolutely superb, with tons of opportunity to develop. Whenever I go back to see everyone, its like returning home...urghh gip

As a teacher of performing arts inc vocal coaching, I highly recommend this college! More should take the opportunity to study here so they can work with talented staff and pupils who show great respect & support for each other!

After graduating from mechanics performing arts with a first class hons degree I have been able to gain my first professional job playing Aladdin at The Academy Theatre.

Alongside my time at mechanics performing arts and auditioning for professional jobs i had the opportunity to volunteer at Theatre Royal Wakefield’s performance academy as an assistant dance teacher, occasionally getting paid for the work I do there. I wouldn’t have been able to do this if it wasn’t for the skills I have gained from my training at Mechanics performing arts

The course i was on at mechanics performing was absolutely brilliant and this is mostly down to the staff that teach there and the amount of time they put into improving students and nurturing the talent they have. It didn’t matter to me that I wasn’t training in London as the training at mechanics benefited me as an individual and I think that is beneficial for musical theatre students in training, and that’s exactly what happens there, concentrating on exactly what you need.

To top off the outstanding training you get at mechanics they also organise a showcase in which you can invite agents to. From this showcase I was able to gain representation from North Artist Management, which is key to have within the industry of musical theatre.

Absolutely loved my training here, the course was exactly what I needed and the staff are amazing, they help push and develop me as a dancer. Thanks to Mechanic's I'm now studying BA hons in dance at Creative Academy in London, couldn't recommended this course enough!

Absolutely loved being there 3 years, college and uni, teachers are absolutely amazing and made some definite friends for life💃🏻💃🏻
