great place to eat all staff friendly and efficient in there service to you steaks came quickly just as people ordered them .i had full rack of ribs only downside on them not enough sauce on them so a bit dry .desert was very nice so was the 2 cocktails i had price was really good we will be going again .

Went for my birthday last night and it’s the best meal we’ve ever had in a Miller & Carter and we have dined in many over the years.



3 courses: starters - nachos and sticky chipotle chicken, mains - 2 x fillet steaks, sides - mac n cheese, desserts - lemon posset and banofee pie, drinks - aperol spritz and estrella.



Everything was an absolute taste sensation, service was impeccable, price was very reasonable (had a £10 off code plus a £25 gift voucher to use) and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere.



Ventured over to the bar area afterwards to continue drinking with a friend that had popped by on their way home, 2hrs later and we were just getting home.



Great dining experience with a special thanks to Ben C for his drink recommendations, helping me choose my dessert (I wanted them all) and for his general polite and happy manner; such a genuine lovely funny guy.

We went as a start to our holidays, hubby had scallops to start and fillet rare, I had ribeye, both were melt in your mouth, service excellent will definitely be going again.

I had the cheddar mushrooms followed by the burger. My colleague had the black pearl scallops followed by a steak.

The food was fantastic and the staff were really friendly and efficient.

Beautiful meal had a lovely Irish waitress which I couldn’t remember her name but was extremely friendly and was happy to help and advise even when we ordered the wrong item on the menu we didn’t want and we had the most amazing Irish coffees to finish as it’s my favourite never my the huge tomahawk steak my friend ordered which we had to Facebook. Was a lovely evening and was certainly not rushed in our meal definitely recommend 😋

Our 1st visit for a special occasion Ruby Anniversary ,We got there 15 mins early , the man on the door said go sit in the bar until we sort table , our table was booked for 7 x by 7.30 no-one had been to us so my husband pulled him , it was obvious he'd forgotten about us , he seemed put out that we'd bothered him and we got no apology he sat is at a table then walked off and just left us there again , finally a waitress came for our order , she was lovely, we told her what had happened and she offered us a drink for our wait but declined ( it hadn't been her fault) , she was really friendly and attentative her name was Charlotte and she picked our night back up as it was our Ruby Anniversary, the food was delicious.Thankyou

I felt it was very rushed as well, as soon as we had finished the starters the mains were right behind and when we had finished our mains we were asked if we wanted desserts or the bill, it felt like they wanted to go home and it was only 10pm.

Been many times to miller and carter was disappointed this time. I ordered jacket potato with my main had to ask twice for it! So had eaten most of my steak before it arrived, dessert menu appeared before our mains plates were cleared just sat with them in front of us. Three were cleared mine was left! Kept been asked if we needed any more drinks! When clearly we had half full/empty glasses. We’re not rushed and did enjoy meal. Will go again just a bit disappointed this time!!!!

Visited for valentines day because we'd been previously and very much enjoyed it but this time was very disappointed. Had a table booked for 8:30pm but didnt get seated till 9:05pm, sat and waited (i think they forgot about us) someone came at 9:25 to take our order and our food came at 9:50pm with things missing. They did offer to get it but because getting our order took far too long to start with we had what food they brought us and left. Food wasn't as good as it usually is which was very disappointing.

Sadly our forget how many visit 2nd poor quality review superb service from the lovely " north east waitress Maddie" but food stone cold ordered chateaubriand but the restaurant over booked should allow 2 hours per table classic numbers over quality ruined a rare night off really unhappy with paying £70 for a meal we didnt eat after waiting 40 minutes for our table

We signed up to a free glass of wine so after finishing our starters and other guests being served with their drinks we had to ask where ours was, this I think was because it was a freebie!

My friends then proceeded to order their main only to be told they had no Rump Steak (convenient for their January meal deal offer) then charging a extra £5.00 supplement for sirloin!!! It is a steak restaurant surely it shouldn’t have fallen down to them to pay extra when you couldn’t provide your food?!!!

I ordered their beetroot salad which was delicious I have to admit so it’s a shame really!

We then got charged for our free wine so needed that removing off our bill....

I can honestly say I don’t think I will be rushing back and is very overpriced for what you get...!!

Largely disappointing. My calamari starter was okay but nothing more, being rather bland. It was also a little overdone which was a clue to the main. I ordered the classic beef burger which should have been pretty safe. A decent patty of beef was ruined by being so over cooked that it was crunchy and completely dried out. Worse, it comes devoid of any sauce of any description which made it intolerably dry. It only became palatable when I'd added some ketchup (which took a few minutes to arrive after I'd asked for it). My wife chose the chicken breast which was far from being a whole breast (or it was an incredibly small chicken). She enjoyed it more than I did my burger but was definitely left wanting more because the portion was so small.



Apart from slow ketchup the service was good. Prompt and friendly without being intrusive. Shame the food wasn't up to a similar standard.

Hi visited yesterday for my daughters birthday. The service was very poor if the waitress had smiledI think her face would have cracked, struggled to get the waiting staffs attention as they were too busy talking and drinking. Two items we wished to order were not available. The turkey on the Christmas menu was awful, I sent the first serving back, the second wasn’t much better but I couldn’t be bothered to wait again. The Christmas dinner I had in my works canteen was 100% better and 25% of the price. I won’t be returning to this place again. Very disappointing

Celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary ... We arrived at 8pm for our booking at 8.15.., we were asked to sit at the bar & we were given a pager. We were called to our table which seemed fine... the waitress was lovely & helpful. Then we realised what a terrible table position we were seated at.

Tucked at the side of the stairs.. in the center of a walkway.., people pounding past us... every second... and people ponding up & down the stairs!! Romantic it definitely was not!!

And then getting an email saying we didn’t attend our booking ... and there were other things which I haven’t gone into... I did you receive my email???

My wife chose the chicken breast which was far from being a whole breast (or it was an incredibly small chicken). She enjoyed it more than I did my burger but was definitely left wanting more because the portion was so small.



Apart from slow ketchup the service was good. Prompt and friendly without being intrusive. Shame the food wasn't up to a similar standard.

Hi visited yesterday for my daughters birthday. The service was very poor if the waitress had smiledI think her face would have cracked, struggled to get the waiting staffs attention as they were too busy talking and drinking. Two items we wished to order were not available. The turkey on the Christmas menu was awful, I sent the first serving back, the second wasn’t much better but I couldn’t be bothered to wait again. The Christmas dinner I had in my works canteen was 100% better and 25% of the price. I won’t be returning to this place again. Very disappointing

Celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary ... We arrived at 8pm for our booking at 8.15.., we were asked to sit at the bar & we were given a pager. We were called to our table which seemed fine... the waitress was lovely & helpful. Then we realised what a terrible table position we were seated at.

Tucked at the side of the stairs.. in the center of a walkway.., people pounding past us... every second... and people ponding up & down the stairs!! Romantic it definitely was not!!

And then getting an email saying we didn’t attend our booking ... and there were other things which I haven’t gone into... I did you receive my email???

great place to eat all staff friendly and efficient in there service to you steaks came quickly just as people ordered them .i had full rack of ribs only downside on them not enough sauce on them so a bit dry .desert was very nice so was the 2 cocktails i had price was really good we will be going again .

Went for my birthday last night and it’s the best meal we’ve ever had in a Miller & Carter and we have dined in many over the years.



3 courses: starters - nachos and sticky chipotle chicken, mains - 2 x fillet steaks, sides - mac n cheese, desserts - lemon posset and banofee pie, drinks - aperol spritz and estrella.



Everything was an absolute taste sensation, service was impeccable, price was very reasonable (had a £10 off code plus a £25 gift voucher to use) and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere.



Ventured over to the bar area afterwards to continue drinking with a friend that had popped by on their way home, 2hrs later and we were just getting home.



Great dining experience with a special thanks to Ben C for his drink recommendations, helping me choose my dessert (I wanted them all) and for his general polite and happy manner; such a genuine lovely funny guy.

We went as a start to our holidays, hubby had scallops to start and fillet rare, I had ribeye, both were melt in your mouth, service excellent will definitely be going again.

Really fancied a steak today so hubby mentioned coming here - we both ordered the Bistro steak and it was perfect, cooked as asked and the lettuce chunk and fries and sauce were delicious too - i would recommend �

My first visit to Garforth ! The food was really lovely all served piping hot, well cooked steaks ! All plates cleared, always a good sign ! All the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful, especially Charlotte who looked after us all evening, so friendly, thank you Charlotte ! Plenty parking to ! Only negative thought chips a bit scrappy .. sorry ! But all in all a lovely evening !

Had dinner here last night. I was staying at the Holiday Inn across the road and thought my colleague and I would give it a try.

I had the cheddar mushrooms followed by the burger. My colleague had the black pearl scallops followed by a steak.

The food was fantastic and the staff were really friendly and efficient.

Couldn’t recommend the place, staff or food high enough.

Beautiful meal had a lovely Irish waitress which I couldn’t remember her name but was extremely friendly and was happy to help and advise even when we ordered the wrong item on the menu we didn’t want and we had the most amazing Irish coffees to finish as it’s my favourite never my the huge tomahawk steak my friend ordered which we had to Facebook. Was a lovely evening and was certainly not rushed in our meal definitely recommend 😋

Amazing food and awesome cocktails. We had steak and lobster both were really good.

Only thing we didn’t like was that the tables for two were very close together. Did feel a little like we were intruding on the couple sat next to us!

Our waiter, Ben was a lovely young man. A real credit to the place.

Went for Mother's Day meal. Food was lovely as usual.

Kat was our waitress and she was very friendly and professional. She had to deal with difficult customers on the next table. They were very rude but she kept her cool and her smile the whole time.

I most definitely recommend the berry and sorbet dessert. Was so light, refreshing and absolutely delicious.

Great service & good food, would have been great if my steak was served hot! Tasting board dessert was nice, please put cheesecake on the menu as a dessert!

Our 1st visit for a special occasion Ruby Anniversary ,We got there 15 mins early , the man on the door said go sit in the bar until we sort table , our table was booked for 7 x by 7.30 no-one had been to us so my husband pulled him , it was obvious he'd forgotten about us , he seemed put out that we'd bothered him and we got no apology he sat is at a table then walked off and just left us there again , finally a waitress came for our order , she was lovely, we told her what had happened and she offered us a drink for our wait but declined ( it hadn't been her fault) , she was really friendly and attentative her name was Charlotte and she picked our night back up as it was our Ruby Anniversary, the food was delicious.Thankyou

I went with my husband for the first time. The food was good but I thought where we was sat it was too close to the next table, we couldn’t have a private conversation with each other. I felt it was very rushed as well, as soon as we had finished the starters the mains were right behind and when we had finished our mains we were asked if we wanted desserts or the bill, it felt like they wanted to go home and it was only 10pm.

Been many times to miller and carter was disappointed this time. I ordered jacket potato with my main had to ask twice for it! So had eaten most of my steak before it arrived, dessert menu appeared before our mains plates were cleared just sat with them in front of us. Three were cleared mine was left! Kept been asked if we needed any more drinks! When clearly we had half full/empty glasses. We’re not rushed and did enjoy meal. Will go again just a bit disappointed this time!!!!

Visited for valentines day because we'd been previously and very much enjoyed it but this time was very disappointed. Had a table booked for 8:30pm but didnt get seated till 9:05pm, sat and waited (i think they forgot about us) someone came at 9:25 to take our order and our food came at 9:50pm with things missing. They did offer to get it but because getting our order took far too long to start with we had what food they brought us and left. Food wasn't as good as it usually is which was very disappointing.

Sadly our forget how many visit 2nd poor quality review superb service from the lovely " north east waitress Maddie" but food stone cold ordered chateaubriand but the restaurant over booked should allow 2 hours per table classic numbers over quality ruined a rare night off really unhappy with paying £70 for a meal we didnt eat after waiting 40 minutes for our table

My first visit to this restaurant and I have to say I wasn’t very impressed...

We signed up to a free glass of wine so after finishing our starters and other guests being served with their drinks we had to ask where ours was, this I think was because it was a freebie!

My friends then proceeded to order their main only to be told they had no Rump Steak (convenient for their January meal deal offer) then charging a extra £5.00 supplement for sirloin!!! It is a steak restaurant surely it shouldn’t have fallen down to them to pay extra when you couldn’t provide your food?!!!

I ordered their beetroot salad which was delicious I have to admit so it’s a shame really!

We then got charged for our free wine so needed that removing off our bill....

I can honestly say I don’t think I will be rushing back and is very overpriced for what you get...!!

Largely disappointing. My calamari starter was okay but nothing more, being rather bland. It was also a little overdone which was a clue to the main. I ordered the classic beef burger which should have been pretty safe. A decent patty of beef was ruined by being so over cooked that it was crunchy and completely dried out. Worse, it comes devoid of any sauce of any description which made it intolerably dry. It only became palatable when I'd added some ketchup (which took a few minutes to arrive after I'd asked for it).
