Mothercare Huddersfield

Visited this store on a number of occasions and the staff have always been brilliant. We chose to order our pram from this store solely based on the excellent customer service we received on our first trip to the store.

Today in Huddersfield Mothercare, I received some of the best Customer Service I'd ever known. One of your colleagues, Melanie assisted me with some advice and she went above and beyond my expectations. Melanie gave me professional advice & personal experience recommendations and then even rang the Manufacturer for advice for me. I cannot thank Melanie enough for her help and if you do any sort of Employee recognition awards, Id be very happy to provide more details for her to be put forward for it. Definately a star employee! Thank you :-)

Popped in for a nosey today & my little boy decided to fill his nappy! I hate changing ‘code brown’ nappies when I’m out & about because you never know what facilities you’re going to find but I have to say your parent/Baby room is AWESOME!! Having never been in there before I guessed I’d just find something slightly better than average being in a baby shop but wow you guys have thought of everything & made it so easy having the space to take the pram in as well. THANK YOU!!

I just want to say a massive thank you to the store manager (I'm so sorry I forgot his name) and the advisor Laura who went above and beyond finding me the Little Bird items for my two girls. You are fantastic and I'm really grateful.

I always visit the mothercare store on Leeds road. I always feel welcome and the staff are lovely towards both myself and my daughter. They are also very helpful and very attentive.

Got some bargains, staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this store to other parents.

Fantastic store. The staff have excellent product knowledge.

A bit expensive but you get what you pay for. Always good to know what you can buy quality stuff for the little ones.

Went to the Huddersfield Mothercare to purchase a car seat for my granddaughter at 5 30 pm on Wednesday evening ( 28th) I was told by the young assistant ( who was more concerned with chatting to the other sales assistant ) that she couldn't fit the car seat because they are not allowed to do it in the dark !!!! Even though it is brightly lit outside the store ! So I asked if she could give me any advice about the car seats only to be told " we don't have any of those in stock " so I asked if they had any of a different model ,to then be told " don't know I'll have to look in the back " she then proceeded to say to the other sales assistant " come with me" ! They were gone a good 5 minutes and came back and said " no we've none of those either "

I was disgusted and wasn't offered any help or advice and proceeded to say " forget it " and walked out .

I went to halfords and was given EXCELLENT service by a guy called Shaun - who spent 30 mins showing me how to put in and undo the car seat , making sure it was the correct model etc !!! Top marks to Halfords and they got a £99 sale !!! Shame on you Mothercare

Wasn't very happy with my experience today, I came to get my baby a car seat I phoned up before hand to check the car seat I wanted was in stock the lady on the phone told me it was and to come into store to get it fitted to check it fit my car properly, I travelled over and told the lady that I was here for a car to be fitted into my car to check it fit properly to which she replied " you want it fitting? Is it still raining outside?" To which I said yes it was, the lady replied "oh it's just if I go and put this in your car I'm going to get wet" I was made to feel very uncomfortable about this lady fitting the car seat as I could tell she did not want to do it!!!when she finally decided to sort it after standing and deciding whether to fit it or not and then having a practice fitting it in store she came out and tried in my car, where she struggled so she got someone else to try by this point my 3 year old was getting quite fed up so I put him in the front seat whilst we was waiting, my little boy pushed the horn on the car, I told him to sit down and listen to mummy, then your store assistant or manager not sure which then turned and said to my little boy " I think you need to start listening to you mum young man" i am the parent not your store assistant so In future I think you need to think about how you speak to other people's children, could understand a bit more if he had been running around the store and causing problems but he hadn't he was just fed up, maybe your staff need to go on a customer service course because this isn't the first experience iv had from staff that are either rude or don't have a clue what's going on!!

Staff are a joke! Spend over a grand in store and they can't even process it correct! Tel you that you can get your packages delivered next day from love space and then they tell you it will take 2 weeks!!! Nothing but bloody problems.

Ordered Items on Christmas eve last year. Took payment out of my account and told to collect items from this store on the 6th of january 2016, was told items have been collected( by a ghost i think) then was told it had been delivered to another store. Never got a call back or items, now been told that items are not in stock and to refund my money. Very poor customer service, won't be using again.

I have never left a shop so angry because of the way I was dealt with. If they are going to hire staff they should make them all know what they are talking about so that people don't have to then folk out extra money they don't have.

Customer service shocking, my pram was faulty sent the wheels back to your store to be fixed over a month a go still no contact!

Beware of items with sale tags that have no prices on them, I went into the store with my daughter to purchase some clothes for my young grandson, everything we chose had a sale tag on but when we got home we found that one of the items no longer had the sale tag and we had been charged full price. Whilst I understand this item might have been tagged by mistake a simple explaination from the sales assistant would have been nice. I just feel what she did was underhand and sneaky
