OOOOH would you get us? We always said we'd like our name in lights, but we reckon GIGANTIC letters is way better! Why not drop by Munro House for a coffee and cake from the excellent Café 164 and a magazine or two from the delightful (even though we say so our self) Colours May Vary - it's Monday right, you need to treat yourself!

Join Colours May Vary on the evening of Friday 14th july for the launch of Peter Byrne's excellent book & exhibition launch 'This Land: Cowboys and the Landscape of the American West'. If the photographs and beautifully published book weren't already enough, there'll also be beer, prizes and hay bales - so mosey on over, grab a brew and check out some amazing work.

The geniuses who brought you 'The Rise and Fall of Mel Gibson' have thought long and hard about who could follow the Aussie giant - and the answer could only be THE STRONGEST BEING IN THE KNOWN UNIVERSE - HE-MAN!
On the 4th of November 'Prints of Eternia' will be exhibited at Colours May Vary in Munro House, coinciding with the epic Thought Bubble Sequential Art Festival. The exhibition will feature work of 12 established and up-and-coming artists who have each produced a wor...k based on He-Man and Masters of the Universe.
Included in this exultation of Eternia are Aidan Saunders (www.print-wagon.com/), Billy Mather (www.billymather.co.uk/), Drew Millward (http://www.drewmillward.com/), Jack Teagle (www.jackteagle.co.uk/), Peter Lloyd, Lucy Irving (www.lucyirving.com/), Carlos Garde Martin (www.carlosgardemartin.co.uk/), Laetitia Bocquet (laetitiabocquet.com/), ZEEL (www.zeel.co.uk/), Lord Hurk (lordhurk.com/), Anthony Atkinson (bigaband.com/), Patrick Allan (www.patrickrallan.com/) and Adam Moore (http://mooredraw.co.uk/)
This will be herculean, or at the very least He-Manean. There will be prints, sculpture, even clothing (yes, clothing). So grab your sword, thrust it skywards and come to the opening on the 4th November, or drop by anytime during that month. YOU HAVVVVE THE POWER!
Do check the Kickstarter campaign - let's make a He-Man book happen! (https://www.kickstarter.com/p…/billyma ther/prints-of-eternia)
Please share or Fisto will squash you!!

Don't forget folks the 'Making Time' exhibition by the wonderful Felt Mistress will be on at Colours May Vary until the 21st September. The exhibition, which accompanies the launch of Louise Evans new book 'Make Creatures with Felt Mistress', includes almost 30 fabulous felt creations which have taken over the CMV exhibition space. Louise has had her amazing work exhibited all over the world, and it's a honour to have her creatures inside Munro House.
Colours May Vary are open 7 days a week too - so plenty of chance to get your felt fill!

One of the Directors of Munro House is doing a huge challenge and raising money for Martin House Children's Hospice.
The journey starts on 21st September and will take Colin Oliver from Ben More (Crianlarich) to Ben Nevis, taking in some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery and challenging slopes, averaging four peaks per day. This will involve walking and climbing for approximately 14 hours per day, camping overnight and starting and finishing in the dark.
